I have a lot of hatred for people and things. Thank you Jobo-corporation.

Name one POSITIVE thing you took from your experience as a Witness
by geodude ini was thinking about this at work the other day, and realized the one positive thing i can truly credit the jws with: .
i have no fear of public speaking.
i was a shy kid, fat, clumsy, with crooked glasses and worse teeth, who wore hand-me-downs in one of the wealthiest counties in all of america, who sat still while classmates got up to salute the flag or recite the pledge of allegiance.

What will be their new plan?
To continue to aid and abet child molestation, protect paedophiles, make money to protect their like minded paedophiles and live in luxury.
Tomo the 4th will be lolling around in a drunken stupor.

Hello Trolley JW's...
by The Fall Guy in...at 1 peter 3:15 it says that if someone asks a christian about their christian hope, they should always be ready to explain it - with mildness & deep respect.
may i ask you about just one belief which jw's have?.
jw's have been instructed that god & jesus personally selected mr. rutherford and several of his associates as the first 'faithful slave' 101 dalmations years ago, in 1919. .

101 dalmations
This is more believable as a story than the tripe the Jobos trot out.

Why Did Obama win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009?
by JW_Researcher inwhile even non-peaceful people have been awarded the peace prize (e.g.
arafat, kissinger), i am confused as to how obama could possibly have won the award one year after being the first term junior senator from illinois with zero “peace” experience (other than his ‘well-articulated’ rhetoric)..
reading the obama-pining on a couple of posts made me reexamine my view of barry’s presidency..

Evil Wind Chimes
by Sea Breeze ini remember going door to door in the late 60's with my mother as a 5 or 6 year old.
one time she caught me looking at the wind chimes on a porch.
she told me they had pagan origins, were evil, and were somehow connected to demons.

Yes. I remember the wind chime thing. It was yet another tool those smug Jobos could use to virtue signal about.
Oh, look at us, we're so pure, we're such uber Jobos.
Bloody idiots!

Brazen conduct
by road to nowhere ini just noticed the clam illustration of "reject brazen conduct" a young man in service walking past 2 others drinking beer and playing cards.
i know elders who do both.

Matthew 6:1 “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
I guess the Jobo corporation missed this. Well, they're not inspired(tm) or some other crap that gives them a free pass.
They do like to show off about how much better than you they are. I wouldn't pee in their ears if their brains were on fire.

"Do you believe that the 'faithful slave' is God's channel of communication?"
by The Fall Guy inif a jw had the nerve to ask me this question, i'd say to them, "you go first.
using only scriptural proof, show me why you believe that the wtbts/ccojw is god's choice and i'll tell you if i agree with your scriptural reasoning.".
wait for the silence and the rabbit in the headlights moment.. i searched on the wt cd rom for references of "channel of communication.".

Believers: How do you know your view of your chosen holy book is the correct one?
by punkofnice indon't start fighting, darlings.
i am genuinely curious.
after all i was a jobo 50 years and thought the wbt$ was 100% correct.. i ask this because i see that, for example, christian denominations (or whatever), likely have differing interpretations of the same writing.

Varied people have said to me that it's because I was raised a Jobo that they have as a result, turned me into a hard atheist. (I don't mean an atheist with a flick knife either).
Their point is that the corporation is so anit-christ that they have deliberately made it so that you can't leave the cult without total damage.
Maybe. Whatever. I just cannot see any compelling reason to be trapped in religion again. I don't believe there is a god given what I observe.
I believed in Jobo-ism because I trusted my parents choice. They meant well.
