  Our J.W friends still have issues with beards 2022??Why?

  Like everyone else here, I've heard it was filthy pig Boozerford that stopped beards.

  Was anything ever committed to writing about this? IE Old publications? Or is it just word of mouth?

  I wonder where the first written prohibition of beards was?

  we seem to be if a more secular society here in the west, these days.

  i'm speaking from the uk.. with the lack of belief in god/s, i'm wondering if all the seeming (note: i said seeming!

  ), deification of people like greta thunberg, george floyd and celebs amongst others, if people who have no real belief system, are filling the gap left by god with people?.

  my jw mother died july 5th.

  it was quite honestly not that emotional for me.

  'their' not 'there'.

  It isn't all Brits. You can't tar a whole country with the same brush. It's far too tribal to do that.

  The same as I don't think all Yanks are heavily medicated, can't spell and are slightly bonkers.

  I for one felt nothing about the Queen passing other than any death is sad.

  Not all of us are royalists and not all of us are republicans.

  Most of us are just trying to get on with our lives.

  i was brought up as a born-in(tm) here in the uk.

  it wasn't until i was 50 that the scales fell from my eyes, i woke up, got da'd from the cult and my wife was advised to leave me by the elders whom i had served with on the boe.

  one of which i know wanted to schtupf her.
