  will the great tribulation hurt individuals more than what job, jesus, roman punishment, naz&i germany, hiroshima, jail, capital punishment, disease, pain, terror, horror, soldier in the battlefield or some terrible pain people experience this very moment?

  I remember when I volunteered to work at a local soup kitchen after I left the JW cult, my Missus (who hadn't been told by the Elders(tm) to leave me at that point), said, 'those people don't need food; they need the Watchtower!'

  That's the kind of mentality you're dealing with. They're all bloody bonkers.

  Are you convinced what the Gospels say about Jesus is true?

  probably, the greatest advocacy for the gospels is the jw publication: the greatest man that ever lived.

  it convinced me.. everything else that the bible says about the resurrection and eternal life logically follows.. the testimony of a “witness” in court matters only if it is observation not commentary ( expert witness is also commentary): what did you see, what did you hear, what is the magnitude of your measurement.

  not, are you convinced; that is only belief.

  Christmas, yes or no ?

  i have just started to steep the mincemeat for my mince pies in dark rum .

  christmas is a big deal in my family and circle of friends.

  however among ex jws it's a bit different or so l understand.

  My only abiding memory of Christmas is Star Wars on the telly.

  I have to force myself to pretend to like Christmas though. I think being raised as a Jobot destroyed a lot of life's enjoyment.

  My sister was not allowed to join the Police because the Elders(tm) said, 'When persecution(tm) comes you might be ordered to use a truncheon against your Brothers(tm) and Sisters(tm).'

  Persecution(tm), always trying to scare us all with that stupid tactic.

  Mind you looking at the UK Police today, they're a useless bunch of lefty enforcers.
