  My favorite Cooking Pot

  although cooking pots are not directly "religious" subject, perhaps not many will deny that a happy belly can lead to wholesome religious thoughts and peaceful spiritual discussions.. that said, through the years i have tried most major brands of cooking pots - all the way from all-clad to cast-iron skilets - including some with the most extraordinary claims in between.. however, the one we have used the most in our kitchen is one brand from denmark, specifically, the 5 quart pot called "scanpan.

  " it is now approaching 40 years of daily use, and it has held-up surprisingly well.

  the handles are as tight as day one when we bought it.

  Dodgy knees. If you have the time.

  My kids never liked Corned Beef and Cabbage though.

  Mutton (a substitute for goat), does nicely in the Dutchie.

  I don't often see mutton in the suermarkets. Sometimes Morrisons, It's usually a trek to the Pakistani Butchers or Pak Foods.

  We are talking UK by the way, if some of the names are not familiar. I also find Bolst is the best curry powder. Mix 50/50 mild and hot together for a nice blend.

  Anyway, back to my cheese sarnie..................

  It depends on the meal for me.

  I prefer a well used Jamaican Dutch pot. You can cook almost anything in it.

  Love - the Identifying Mark of Real Christians?

  the jws are fond of quoting john 13:35 that love is the identifying mark of the true religion claiming that only they have this love among themselves.

  they love each other.. i was reading the gospel of luke today and thought about the words of jesus luke 6:32-35 niv, “if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?

  even sinners love those who love them.

  Foggy - I looked at some church commentaries

  When I was a believer I found the Wm Barclay commentaries most edifying. If I recall, he was Free Church of Scotland.

  As far as 'love' is concerned, I really don't believe people have this in buckets full. From my bitter experience, it only goes so far. Even the most highly professing member of any 'loving' faith has limits. I wonder if it's because there is no real altruistic person alive. As speaking creatures, humans are by and large a huge let down in the end.

  i remember back in the 80s almost every awake and watchtower magazine, think all, hade an article about how bad and evil catholic church was.

  what happened to all the bashing?

  was it because people in catholic countries got offended?

  wannaexit - they don't bash the catholic church because watchtower has more pedos then the church

  I was thinking this too. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't trade info secretly. (I'm being ironic BTW).

  No wonder TOMO is always 'as a newt' and slurring his words. The jealousy must be strong in him if the Catholics are still his competition.

  i am pimo but too scared to talk about my doubts with anyone for fear of being shunned.

  i know many now have doubts that the vaccines are safe and effective this is as good as doubting the gb.

  you can it say anything in doubt about the vaccines because the gb still act like salesmen for big pharmaceuticals .

  Perhaps. But I was making the point that there is no evidence that I have actually seen, to prove the GB are getting a tickle from Big Pharma. Like you say 'acted like'. That's a massive difference from 'actually did'. It's not 'evidence' as such. Just because we convince ourselves it's true don't mean sweet fanny Adams.

  i wonder how many have doubts about the gb teaching that only baptised jws would survive the big a?

  even then they still only say you may make it as with unbaptised kids of jdubs.

  i think most people physically in don’t agree with the gb on this and are hoping jehovah would let other good people into the new world even if they are not baptised jws.

  I predict our self serving politicians will continue to lie to us, rake in money and leave the country broken.

  I predict the UK will become a neo-feudalist hell-scape by 2025.

  I predict all the sheeple will continue to do whatever they are told by government and MMM, passively surrendering to their unwitting enslavement. If they are told to clap for the NHS on a Thursday, they will comply, glassy eyed and ignorant.

  I predict the politicians will continue to cajole the passive sheeple into willingly doing whatever the Governments and MMM tell them to do, like wear a face nappy or take an experimental jab so that they can then virtue signal to the other tribes.

  I predict dim-witted children will be born to trailer trash parents by the thousands (at least), out numbering intelligent people. The world will be exactly like Idiocracy.

  I predict Aliens will land and probe us all on a regular basis until we agree to giving them all the Pumpernickel we own.

  My Dad was a manager in a Cost Office.

  He often used to say, 'You can do anything with figures to make things go in your favour.' (Because he was British, he used the 'U' in 'Favour'. See how international we are).

  What he meant was that you can't trust what's on the surface because it might not be so.

  When organisations (With an 'S' not a 'Z' because that's how it is here), make declarations of stats and figures.........

  ...........why believe what they say? I don't.

  With Watchtower Corporation(tm), are they taking into account all the expensive whiskey TOMO 3rd is getting drunk on every day?

  There was this Elder(tm) in my last congregation(tm), bit of dimwit used to 'prove' the Corporation(tm) had Jehovah's(tm) blessing by saying, 'Look at the growth!'
