Satanic or Simple trickery
by sleepingbeauty ini remember whilst being on holiday my jw inlaw, him looking at me with utter disgust that simply because he couldnt see images such as these, he felt that they were demonic & therefore i should not be having anything to do with them.
he said in no uncertain terms that i was to quit touching the unclean thing.. i was allowing satan into my mind !!!

Would the Watchtower ever dare to discourage having children again?

24:19... it would therefore appear that there is no reasonable or scriptural injunction to bring children into the world immediately before armageddon, where we now are.

Hmmmmm! So, on the one hand, having children is MOST of the Borg growth. Most of those children will exit anyway.
On the other, if you don't have children that will likely exit you can scour the streets entrapping victims to get trapped into the cult.
Neither option seems very productive...!

by flipper ini would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

Para 20 is ironic as it quotes 1 Pet 5:8 about the Devil being a roaring lion etc seeking to devour someone. Then asks: 'Will that someone be you?'
Way I see it if you're at the meetings and believe then the Devil's already got you...yes, you already ARE that someone!

Dear JW caller, if the ancient nation of Israel was proof that Jehovah works thru' an 'organization' on Earth, isn't it also true he can cast that 'organization' off, as he did with ancient Isreal as you claim, for refusal to 'quit touching the unclean thing'?
Can you be confident Jehovah has't cast off the Watchtower Organization for joining the 1. United Nations? For accepting shares in 2. Randcam (weapon developers) and for gleaning money from 3. Philip morris Tobacco company?
1. Any JW joining a political group would likely be disfellowshipped.
2. Any JW joining the Army or working to develop weapons would likely be announced as 'no longer a Jehovah's Witness'.
3. Any JW smoking tobacco indirectly 'sponsored' by the Watchtower would likely be disfellowshipped.
Would Jehovah not cast off such a hypocritical organization as you claimhe did to ancient Israel?

in that time, i broke free and took 99.9% of my family and in-laws out of the cult.

Some on the body I resigned from were just power trippers and suck ups. I won't name names but when I left my son saw one of them and he asked how I was.
Son said : 'He's really good. He's alright, thanks!'
Super-pious replied: 'Ha can't be alright. he CAN'T BE ALRIGHT!!!!'
Son laughed as he related this cos he knows I'm much happier.
Now I'm out I see it all clearly. I admit I didn't when in as I was waiting on Jar-Hoover to vacuum it all away. Fat chance!

Nope! That's why I left despite my wife and daughter staying in. I resigned as an elder in my 50's which is why the wife thinks it's just mid life crisis. No. It's crisis of conscience!!

I really don't know if I believe in God anymore.
I know what I really don't belive and that is the governing body are god's mouth piece. They are the 'filthful syliva' and if there is a god, I wouldn't want to be them!
