Struggling to find a purpose
by My Name is of No Consequence ini spent most of my life in the org.
we were taught that our purpose in life was to serve jehovah.
that never really made sense to me, but it was still a purpose to keep going.

Hellothere - You could be on to something.
Do they have a lot of TV talks now from America instead of Brothers(tm) giving them?

Fooly - a lot of weak minded men given a little so called power
I've seen this many-a-time.
Then they think they're not Dunning-Kruger candidates, but imbued with special knowledge.
They piously spout outlandish poppycock from the platform(tm) expecting their words to be treated as if from divine revelation.
Those sort always made me feel that there wasn't enough vomit in the world to express how they disturbed me.
Man, there has been some utter shyte dribbled from the platform(tm)........and then it becomes law.

Elmer - The band does cover versions. I personally would prefer to do own compositions but it doesn't get gigs.
We are Porky Pig the Bacon Boys. There is a Farcebook page for us.

Scottish National Party + Nazis
by BoogerMan inhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/scottish_national_party - "however, others in the party were explicitly pro-nazi.
hugh macdiarmid, who stood as an snp candidate in 1945, believed that the nazis were "less dangerous than our own government" and wrote a poem about the london blitz that included the line "i hardly care".
arthur donaldson, who went on to lead the party between 1961 and 1969, believed a nazi invasion would benefit scotland: "the government would leave the country and england's position would be absolutely hopeless, as poverty and famine would be their only reward for declaring war on germany.

TBH, of all the Scots I know, they all think the SNP are a bunch of schnooks. But then, who voted them in?
I wouldn't trust Justice secretary Humza Yousaf either. Looks like he's trying to crush free speech. This tells me they want a CCP style dictatorship.
They all seem so pre-occupied with their own power and glory.
Anyway (anyways with an added 's', if you are over the Atlantic to me), I'm not sure if the Scots want freedom from the UK or the UK want to break Scotland off and float it over to Greenland.
It seems that it's only the Politicians that are trying to drive a wedge here.

The WBT$ really know how to crowbar nonsense into scriptures!
Imagine being called out on....
Psalm 45:16 prophetically says: “In place of your forefathers there will come to be your sons, whom you will appoint as princes in all the earth.”
......by a householder(TM).
I think the Jobot would have to offer to do a return visit(TM) after researching the publications(TM).
They'd find nothing that proves the statement. A return visit not made.

truthy - Sounds like a plan! I'll warn you in advance, most of the big cities are human-rat infested sewers.
If you want to get stabbed and robbed, go to London's residential areas. London is a craphole these days.
Even my city is a disgusting lavatory of a place.

non US folks and pumpkin pie
by carla insorry, i didn't know how to classify this- on some cooking boards i am on i came across how some do not understand pumpkin pie at all, particularly down under.
there was a whole thread about picking up libby's pumpkin pie filling (and the expense) and then came the subject of vegemite which does not sound good to me but can't say as i have never had it.
with all the sugar and spices what is not to like about it?

Carla. As a Brit, I can't say that I've come across Pumpkin pie. I won't knock it until I try it though.
the subject of vegemite which does not sound good to me but can't say as I have never had it.
Vegemite we get in the UK but the usual UK brand is Marmite. This is a savoury yeast syrup type substance which goes lovely on toast. I've used it in a gravy mix like Bovril.
People say you either love it or hate it. I'm not sure it gets that kind of reaction.
Do you get Twiglets in the America? They are coated with the stuff.
now I feel really bad about posting this after the thread about someone posting about finding purpose in life.
You needn't. We all have to eat.

They have as Reich Chancellor Nicola Sturgeon as dictator. With a power crazed looney like her in charge, anything is possible.
There are always the 3rd Reich types hidden in plain sight in politics They are scum like all the virtue signalling left leaning, champagne socialists that pretend not to be racist but have a knack of segregating people by colour.
Sturgeon is in politics. Do we really expect politicians with an ego like hers to do anything other than feather their own nests and revel in power? I don't know of any politicians that really give 2 hoots about us proles. They're all filth. I wouldn't urinate in their ears if their tiny brains were on fire.
Perhaps she should just go back to being Jimmy Krankie, she was a bit more likeable then.

Who raised Jesus from the dead?
by Blotty ini have seen arguments surrounding jesus' resurrection being proof of "the trinity" - now while in some cases it's a good argument the evidence for it remains very weak.
(bible quotes are from the nwt but other bibles are referenced, use whichever you please) this following version of it is a good example.. "the bible indicates that all [persons] of the trinity was involved in jesus’ resurrection.
galatians[1:1] says that the father raised jesus from the dead.

"The Jesus character, didn't leave any writings." - very weak argument as many bible characters didn't leave any writings
It's actually a very strong argument. I would have expected the Messiah to at least make a bit of an effort.
I suspect he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!
That other characters left no writings also brings into question their existence.
"Then you have to prove God exists." - admittedly I have very few ways to do that... Bible doesn't really touch on the subject as in those days people were far more religious, even look 100 years ago..
That's my problem. I cannot take such life changing things on faith.
As for the Wiki article, it doesn't really say much apart from opinions.
I fancy these opinions are from many that profit from such postulations.
That's probably not all I have to say, but you never know. Thanks for your comments, BTW, Blotster
