  Jehovah's Witnesses came by today.

  this morning i was in our front yard sitting down pulling weeds when i saw 3 people slowly walking on the sidewalk in my direction.

  2 of them were young, handsome, clean shaven, wearing nice crisp white shirts and perfectly tailored black slacks.

  they could have been mormons except.... there was a 60ish portly woman wearing a frumpy dress and ugly sandals.

  Re-activate me?

  there was a knock at my door and i thought it was my take-away being delivered.. long story short, it was 2 elders calling to see me.

  i guess to re-activate me.

  once they said who they were i recognised them.

  Long story short, it was 2 Elders calling to see me. I guess to re-activate me. Once they said who they were I recognised them. To be fair, one I'd known since childhood and he was a kind of hero of mine.

  He asked me, 'How do you feel about the Brothers(tm)?'

  Now, this is the new me....I replied, 'I love them all but the Governing Body are not who they say they are and I'll never go back to the meetings. But...I don't want to go into it because I don't want to be impolite.' I was being kind when I said it....and they knew that I meant them no malice.

  A few years ago, I'd have argued and been unpleasant. Not anymore.

  Much was said, including what rumours had come back to me about myself. I actually made them smile. They left on good terms understanding that there was no chance I'd ever be a Jobot again.

  Then my kebabs arrived.

  I just wanted to share that.

  Of course I trust young children alone with Governing Body members. What could possibly go wrong? It's not like they're covering up a problem.

  I didn't like Ray Shah, Charldon Johnson or Richard Cullen. There was an older bloke, white hair but I don't recall his name. Arrogant old turd. Ted something? Probably just as well because I don't care anymore. I found all the newer CO's were corporate shills. Not like the ones from the 60's and 70's when they still had some compassion. The ones I met before I escaped were grotty specimens.

  from the earliest of times of the catholic church's ecumenical councils were used to make major changes to its doctrinal direction.

  decisions were made by bishops, they were ratified by the pope ... and it was done.

  and the laity had to accepted them or not.. and while splinter catholic religions accepted most of these councils, non-trinitarian faiths which developed latter (of which jehovah's witnesses are apart) did not.

  Since the JW's are a fake religion, a cult even.............

  They do whatever they think brings in money.

  God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have nothing to do with the JW leaders. These men are totally self serving, like most politicians.

  It's nice to be missed.

  Several reasons I haven't been here.

  I don't need reminding of the JWs anymore. They're a distant memory that I no longer identify with........or want to. That is no longer me.

  After Mum died I saw how FM the troll used my pain to score attention seeking points along with a PM from another poster chiding me for my reaction. I don't need trolling from fake JWs or fake ex-JWs.

  A lot of the threads about JWs are meaningless to me now because the cult has changed almost beyond recognition.

  Lastly, my internet at work won't let me on this site anymore and I don't like using my phone with my eyesight. I am usually too tired to be bothered with going on the internet after work. I usually get more involved in family visits now that I have a new grandkiddie.

  The band is no more.

  I am just getting on with life i guess.
