  Question to shunned persons

  hello everyone,.

  if your jehovah's witness relatves came to you and said..... "praise jah, there has been 'new light" and we can associate with you again!".....

  what would you say or do?

  If that did happen, what difference would it make?

  I have been shunned over and over, and then picked back up over and over; but NOT this time.

  I bare no grudges, but the grieving was difficult.

  I have learnt one thing out of this doctrine. If there is no respect from those that are practicing JW's for xJw's and their belief systems, there is no love either.

  So even if they changed their minds....where is the love?

  What do we all have in common?

  What would a change of doctrine really change....baseline?

  If ex JW's are accused of posting false material to prove their point and are then found to have done so, how many people inside the WTBTS can we help?

  None!!! Because we will all be tarred with the same brush.

  my father a ms told me several months ago that jw's no longer do "regular door to door witnessing".

  he told me this as i said to him i cannot remember the last time i saw a jwitness at my door which was unusual.. has anyone any answers to this?.

  as an example, christ called the original christian apostate, judas, the son of destruction.

  so too, and not surprisingly, the activities of modern day apostates are said to awaken the judgment from of old, so that "the destruction of them is not slumbering.

  Well UKNOW,

  JW's make up 1% of the worlds population.

  I suppose you can add the resurrected to your numbers to make up for all the ones that have been mass murdered.....if that's your point of view.

  And 1975 was a year I almost slit my own throat. It was the year Armageddon was supposed to arrive.
  But where was it???????

  As for persecution......JW's are excellent persecutors of those of us that choose by FREE CHOICE not to be one of them.

  The link I was given didn't work to this board, so I had to use good old google to hunt it down...I was looking for your name and freepeace's.

  So nice to e-meet you.

  But, yes....my father did say this emphatically. I am sure that before I was shunned out of the family recently that all his phone calls were used as 'field service' hours.
  

  I think I have been replying in the wrong places and some people are not going to get the right replies...UGH....me and PC's.

  My father.....before I was shunned again used to ask me who I was on the net to all the time.
  I said "Oh, just one of those apostate sites you warned me about."

  He thought I was joking!!!!!!!

  The JW work has gone flat in several countries as I have lived in them, so it is of no surprise to hear that they are changing tactics.

  The USA...well maybe they are 'ahead' with methods yet unknown.

  first off, i want to say that i am very grateful for this place where i can speak whatevers on my mind.

  ive often been amazed at the role that the wtbts & gb put themselves into, all the while claiming that they are not promoting their own standards, and understandings.

  heres just a little research ive done lately on what it means to be a sect.

  If Jw's were not a sect why would so many of their members who leave be shunned just out of freedom of choice?

  That in itself is the hallmark of a sect not to mention the mind control that goes into making one a 'spiritually' strong witness.

  To be 'spiritually strong' by the JW standards means you have to shun humanity and turn a blind eye to child abuse...ect ect.....

  That IS a sect.
