Your words always seem to hit home with me

I believe I am guilty of circumstance getting the upper hand......not believing in myself and then the whole things just steam rolls...

Sometimes I am in a quandry as to how I can be successful in a business life...but I fail so much when it comes to 'dealing' with issues.

You and Think know quite a bit about my history....I haven't written my personal experiences yet as I don't know if I can......
see what I mean?????

14 years ago last week my baby son was killed in horrific circumstances..............4 months ago my daughter was burnt in a housefire....almost to death........the latter left me feeling very weak and vulnerable....

But when I read your letters they make me feel like there is so much more I CAN do about how I react to trauma.

I think I need a Freepeace post into my email every week....

What do you do when you are innocent???

hi guys,.

i am feeling really down right now....in fact a couple of nights ago i felt like ending it all.

i know that some of you know that i work in the mental health industry, but when it comes to oneself it doesn't seem to work.. i am currently accused of being after someone's husband when i am not.. in fact i stupidly agreed to be his alibi so he could get some peace of mind from his wife by chatting to another woman.....yes he loves another woman, but his wife thinks it is me!!!!!.

Thanks Introspection for you post. Yes I had thought of approaching a colleage, but unless he/she knew the persons concerned I didn't see that it would help a great deal.

I guess I am concerned with my reputation.
And no, the woman has NO reason to think I would do such a thing other than her vivd imagination.

Larc.....thankyou....I was hoping you would turn up here. But I cannot do either. The woman has no idea what is going on. She apparently told her husband that I was a bad influence on their marriage if he was staying up in instant message to talk to ME all night. It never was and never has been me. It is another woman entirely; a woman who does not deserve this either but does not realize what she is walking in to. This man is greatly into mind control, and I must say extremely good at it. As I said to Introspection, I think my fear is also based on my own reputation as I feel this woman could pass this around the whole forum.
I have broken all contacts with IM.

Thankyou...lol's..I think you are right. The woman will certainly have a shock when she discovers it is not me. And she WILL discover this.
I just don't want her to be hurt. I know that sounds silly; but I am worried about her.

I feel sick in my stomach all the time as this is something I would never do. I was stupid to agree to being an alibi...and I know this....but I am finding the insult and the accusation hard to bare.

His wife does not know that I am aware of her accusations....her husband told me. I just feel like I served a purpose and that's that.....too bad.
I hope that maybe she might even read this and realise it isn't me...but I doubt it....

I am not good at being falsly accused.....it happened in the WTBTS when I was a kid and I don't deal with false accusation now.

Anyone got any suggestions???

America Bashing

with all of the america bashing going on of late, i thought i'd mention the fact that america stands for freedom, as flawed as our system may be.

you're even free to be critical of the government and it's leaders.

the many men and women who have died defending this country did so to preserve the rights even of people who hate the u.s. there are many different cultures here, so there are many different attempts at creating laws for the land.

Be proud of where you live. I have lived in several countries, not USA, but that is not my point.

I have experienced other cultures.
I am currently living in Australia on a temporary Visa, yet I have never felt like I am living in a democracy.

It is a beautiful country.....very...yet the government really stinks.
The people had a chance to be a Republic......what did they do??? Deny it!!!

The people didn't want a GST...what did they do???? Vote for it!!!

Something goes terribly wrong......do they storm the streets in protest????

Only a few...

What a great thread!!!!!

I am not going to name any names because I don't want to miss anyone out.
I would just like to say thanks to all the people here who have posted, whether they be new posters or old......I enjoy them all.
I really enjoy all the differing viewpoints and the fact that sometimes we can all disagree on a thread and yet move into chat or IM and be the best of friends.
