Thank you so much for your advice Salty. We have made this trip serveral times with our 2 dogs but never with our cats. They are all indoor cats. My wife was a vet tech and has had cats and dogs all her life. She has already given me the drill. We are going to try to do it in one day. In our car we can do it in 17 hours. But a truck pulling a trailer and our car following it pulling a small trailer it might take a little longer. We will be doing many breaks. Two cats will be in a medium cage and the other 2 in their own carrier. Also a good part of it will be at night. Hopefully that will calm them down. When we get to our house up north we have 2 very large cages we will put them in for the first week. That will be down in the basement were it is cool. After that we will introduce them to the house. Our problem we have is we have our oldest son who has the truck and we can have him only a few days for he has to get back to work. I know it will be a ordeal but we are already 60% pack and I planned to have the 2 trailers pack and ready to go a week before we leave. So when my son drives up to our door all he will have to do is hitch the trailer up to truck.
I know this sounds like I am a control freak I really am not. I was in construction all my life and I always had to overseer the job and coordinate everything. So thats my specialty I am good at organizing. We are only going to have the cats and dogs in the car with us. We will not pack the car tight with anything so the animals will have plenty of air. When we arrive on April 29 our old cat will have couple of days to rest until her 22 brithday. My wife and I are in our late 50's we full will know it is going to be a strain on all of us. After we get there we will take some much needed rest before we go to work. Again Thank you for all your wonderful advice. Your wisdom is truly your beauty and your advice is very much appreciated. he's going to just have to sit outside the door and wait.
i know it will be dissappointing to him , as he purrs like crazy while gathering in the experience.

Dear saltyoldlade, I sure will let you all know when the big day comes. We have had that cat since it was 6 months old. My son found it wandering around in our neighborhood back in 1989. It had surgical stitches on its belly and was declawed. My wife called our vet to see if they did the procedure. They did and they gave us the address and phone number to the owners. When they came and got the cat my wife told them if they ever want to get rid of it we would love to have it. A few days later there was a knock on our door and the former owners ask if we would still like to have the cat? And my wife said absoultely. We have had her ever since. Our only big worry we have with her now is the big move coming up at the end of April. Hope she can with stand 1000 mile journey. All I know is she is the first one up to the feed bowl every morning. She is quite health for her age. Totally ADD

Hello Gayle. We have two grown children who know and think like we do concerning the WT. One has not gone to meetings for serveral years and has made known to his wife he does not believe in the JW organization. She has not gone to meetings herself for many years due to emotional problems but still believes. We all have to be very careful around her. Our other child still goes to meetings once in awhile. He has a good excuse because he works many hours to support his family. His wife goes to meetings just like him but her parents live near her and her mother is always on her to do more. Our son has told us she has many doubts about this orgaization. And has express concern to us about certain things. The only things stopping her is her blood sucking mother who wants to control her life. But then again we have not told her how we feel, maybe one of these days. Yes they will have our new address but we see no problem with either one of them. We will be 1250 miles from one and 600 from the other. Totally ADD

Hi flipper. Sorry I forgot to tell you we have 4 cats and 2 dogs. 3 cats are 15 years old and 1 cat is 22 years old. She looks like she can live another 5 years. Her fur is still nice and shiny. Totally ADD

Hi flipper. For me being new on this board moving on was to write my life story for you all to read. The encouragement I got from your comments help me to release emotional feelings I had so I could let go of them. Moving on also means for now I post alot more that I did just a month ago. Weather it is nonsense or sound minded posting you all listen and don't make judgement calls on what I say. Moving on also means I now call the GB and WT a cult when just a few months ago it was hard for me to say that. I feel for the rest of my life I will be moving on away from this cult. Why? Because I have learned from this board as a born-in I have a life time of cult thinking to get rid of and it will take the rest of my life to completely get rid of it. But I am bound and determine to have fun and intellectual insight in doing so. Since I sign on in Jan. of this year that is how I have moved on. Thank you everybody for your great suggestions. I like the part were we keep our mouths shut about the borg and enjoy the new area. I am a people person mostly because of the isolation I experience as a child. I looking forward to meeting new people with our business. We both want to do volunteer work. Clarity if you are in our neck of the woods come on in for a donut. By the way that will be in NW PA. Yes Skeeter 1 we will be joining the Chamber of Commerce.
