Trump's interview with Chris Wallace was a disaster.
The best thing that Trump should have towards his reelection is Biden. But so far, Biden's handlers are keeping him locked down and out of public view. I think that is the only way they can keep Biden from putting his foot in his mouth repeatedly.

Post your experiance with JWs who did not save for retirement and had to work or live off off SS till death
by wolverines inbut one i remember was a full on dyed in the wool believer how was a farmer.
around 1975 he sold his farm moved his family to a very rural place and waited for the end to come.
he ended up working for his brother in law hanging drywall.

I can think of lots of JWs who didn't save a dime of what they earned because they reasoned that the scripture says they will "throw it in the streets", thus no use saving it. Most of them are living off of Social Security and other Government assistance. Some of them seem to know every free welfare scheme there is. Yet, they would tell you that Joe Hoover has "taken care of them".

False prophets, and proud of it
by neat blue dog inthe latest wt celebrates the 100th anniversary of 1920 with an article about what happened that year:.
on march 21, 1920, joseph f. ruther-ford .
spoke on the subject“millions now living will never die.” the bi-ble students left no stone unturned in theirquest to invite interested ones to this event.they rented one of the largest theaters innew york city and distributed some 320,-000 invitations.the public responded beyond all expecta-tions.

As I recall, those MILLIONS are now ALL DEAD.
I think the strategy of the WT has been to "celebrate" the 100th anniversaries of 1914, 1918, and now 1920.
To NOT do so, would look like they were "hiding" them. This way it appears they are something to celebrate.

Hello!
by Caedus inbeen reading here for a few years.. 4th gen jw, born and raised, served for a few years which was the catalyst for me.
the politics, backstabbing, slandering and coercive tactics in particular caused a constant internal struggle.
i started researching and focused only on the stories of ex-elders/servants to see if i was the only one - i wasn't.. the rest is history..

JW (and other religions) excuses for messing up when trying to understand prophesies.
by RubaDub inthis is not a jw-bashing thing, but it always seemed odd to me that the "excuse" when things go wrong is that "we have to wait and see how the prophesy is fulfilled" or some other wording.. my question has always been, then what is the purpose of the prophesy if you don't understand it until after the fact?
isn't that like having a weather forecast but being told that we don't really know what the weather will be until the next day?
isn't that the purpose of prophesy?.

Maybe we were just gullible

Are You Afraid To Publicity Express Your Opinion?
by minimus inare you reticent to express your opinion when it comes to religion or politics?.
when we were jws , we had to be so careful that we didn’t stumble anyone.
are you comfortable saying that you don’t agree with someone or something even if it appears you are in the minority?

Well, you know Rub, Joe Hoover only gives us what information we need or we "can handle" at any given time. He reveals such things in a timely manner to "his servants the prophets". Proper food at the proper time. Of course, his "servants" are imperfect men an they can make mistakes. (As we well know!)
