Seems the Borg is getting on families to harass former members,,,,gone for many years to ''Are you coming back to Org.,blah, blah, blah''

I too have been wondering if there has been encouragement from the Borg to contact former/inactive members because we just had a phone call from a elder that I had served with for years before fading. He is the ONLY JW that has kept some limited contact through the 6-7 years we have faded but up until this week he has never steered the conversation to "are you watching (Zoom) meetings anywhere?" In the past it's just been friendly conversation.

We also received a letter signed by two elders to encourage us to "attend" the Zoom memorial service last year.

Seem like every few years the pendulum swings back to the "let's contact all the inactive Dubs and encourage them to return [to Joe Hoover]".

i think the first thing to consider is that it takes a while for humans to wake up to the truth.

this is not just a jw thing.

around 1600 ad, galileo challenged the catholic church's long held view that the earth was the center of our universe.

Maybe somehow God will work it all out---they hope.

Or..........hopefully they (GB) are right about the resurrection and they will be brought back to life in Paradise without knowing they had been dead for (who knows how many) years. And if not, well........they're just dead and none of it will matter.

AM III speech at anual meeting 2021

just downloaded and watched the am iii speech about expetations about the end.. all i think it is ment to temper the high expetations that the rank and file have build up because of the pandemic.. most jw think that the big end will come now.. gb must be anticipating the anti climax that will come.. it is a very rare speech, i can say, and am iii was in a realistic mood, the audience was laughing and he was thinking "you are idiots", so it seems to me.. g..

As you probably know, they make this shit up as they go. Doubtful any of his experience is true. It just makes a good story for his talk.

We've been "faded" for years. We still have no interest in celebrating Christmas. I see people piss away money giving gifts to people who don't want or need the gift. It will be out in their next garage/yard sale. And many go do deeply into debt to do it.

2020’s are already a Train Wreck for JW ORG

as the title says, we are nearly at the end of the 2nd year of the 2020’s, and already jw org is not only a car crash, but an absolute train wreck.. i’ve watched the annual meeting 2021 already, and it seems the gb are in fighting, morris openly disagreeing with lett, that is massive, and it’s something that has largely not been commented on by this community.

covid-19 is not going anywhere, any trial meetings will surely be shut down, now omicron is doing the rounds.. it looks highly likely we will see a second negative growth year.

“young ones” are waking up by the masses.

As I read Lucky Ned's supposition above (and I have no problem with his conclusions) I just have to say that I do not think the average JW puts this much work into understanding all this Overlapping Doctrine Bullshit.

WHY? First of all, because most JW's are not in the practice of studying the Bible or any of the JW Doctrine. They just hobble along like little sheeple are supposed to do. If you were to lay out that spiel to the average JW that's still PIMI today, their eyes would just gloss over and they'd be lost before you completed the explanation. Additionally, they are happy to just lap up and consume all the New Light Spiritual ~~Food~~ Fodder without thought or question. They check their brain at the door.

"jehovah's witnesses cannot refute the facts in the so-called “ lies” against them, and when they do, they shamelessly lie and tell half-truths to defend their mind-controlling sect.. their new york based leaders tell them that anything negative said about their sect is a “ lie “ from “ mentally diseased, bitter apostates”.. jws are yet to come to terms with the fact that we are in the information age and they can no longer get away with lying to protect their organisation.. for example, one of the “ lies “ told about them is that they shun anyone who leaves the cult , including family members, including their own children.. another “ lie “ is that jws are ready to allow their children to die rather than accept a life-saving blood transfusion.. the child sex abuse coverup in the cult is also said to be a “lie “.

While I understand your line of reasoning, I do not think the JW R&F will do so. They have already been told that exact statement with which you conclude your reasoning and they have not batted an eye. They are doing exactly that.
