  Although my son who is a nurse claims that patients who believe in prayer and a Higher Power have better recovery.

  Oh you got that right, I have seen the dumbest of people appointed on the grounds of being a good "company man".

  A real blessing was cutting the Public Talk from an hour to 45 minutes to just 30 minutes.

  The pain of sitting through one being given by an unqualified elder has been greatly reduced.

  i found this on exjwreddit.

  a pimo elder is in the middle of an event where a former co allegedly kissed a brother from another hall.. the co denied it so the other elders are frustrated because they can't have a judicial meeting.

  if true, can he be disfellowshipped?

  I'd be curious to know from what culture the men were from. At least in the US, two hetero dudes kissing is.........well....... weird. But not sure that is the case in all cultures.

  1st Century Christians had no convents, but they all lived in a commune. You sold everything and gave the money to the congregation. In turn you would have you basic necessities met. ~ Truth b known

  #3 Discipline anyone who gets out of line ("sinners" but also shit-disturbers that get on the radar)

  #4 Give Public Talks (that are all now Zoomed) Most enjoy their time in the Limelight.

  #5 See that Mother's property is well maintained to protect Her investment

  I really don't think they can be nearly as busy as they were expected to be a decade ago or more. There are no longer scheduled shepherding nights. There are no longer meetings for Field Circus (other than laughable Zoom meetings).

  It's a title that qualifies you for more work. But it gives you a deeper look at the "inside operation" of the Cult. Sometimes that appointment is what takes a sincere brother right out of the Troof.

  imho, its the one rodney spinks and terry o`brien parroting the governing body direction is that when somebody leaves the religion whether they just fade ,disassociate or even get disfellowshiped ,then they are in fact shunning all members of all congregations worldwide including family and friends ,.according to their testimony at the arc.. this is a blatant lie and misrepresents the truth,.and they know it.. when a person leaves the religion for whatever reason they are rejecting the governing body`s teachings ,doctrines and practices of the religion of jehovah`s witnesses and not all peoples associated within the congregations.. especially not family and friends who they may have long standing relationships with.. they try to shift the blame and put the onus on those who leave.. shame on them for perpetuating such a lie..

  DEUT 18:20-22 --20 "But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21“You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’ 22“When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."

  To continue to follow these men/prophets (Yes, they claimed to be God's prophet equal to Ezekiel. WT 1972 04/01 pg 197) is to directly go against the direction of God's Word.
