Big fish. Little pond.
Lots of those in the JW world.
Or as my rancher friends from Texas would say -- Big hat. No cattle.

I remember hearing Morris on a monthly broadcast saying that we shouldn't be overly excited about the cry of Peace and Security.
As I read this thought I recalled his recent comment about telling is sons that they shouldn't count on seeing the end of this system (or something to that effect). I think he was trying to get that point across to the longtime JWs in the audience -- "Don't count on it, folks!"

Wise counsel for JW's in latest WT
by BoogerMan injune 2023 study watchtower p. 13, par 15 - “we will not be fooled if we “make sure of or, “test” all things.”...we need to test what we hear or what we read to determine whether it is genuine.....instead of naively accepting what others the org say, we use our thinking ability to compare what we read or what we hear with what the bible and jehovah’s organization say.”.

Of course that excludes testing the WTS/JWs to see if what they say is "genuine" (accurate).

Isaiah 11:6 . . . “the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb”?
Why does this description of the future Paradise limit it to just "for a while"?

Pawn to Queen 2034 anyone?
by Fisherman innot a hint of a new date for the great tribulation.
the attitude of jw is that they expect it immediately although the inter-lapping anointed allows for any additional extended time.
given the time of the end, the end comes after the good news is preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations with the internet and 108 years and tons of publications even in finnish.

We are not serving Jehovah with any certain date in mind. We dedicated our lives to serve him (and his Organization) forever.
JUST LOOK at the evening news. This system is obviously on its way out very, Very, VERY soon!

Index of Evidence for Evolution Threads
by cofty inre-posting this for reference.. #1 protein functional redundancy comparing the sequences of amino acids in ubiquitous proteins confirms the relationship between all living things..
#2 dna functional redundancy comparison of the dna that codes for the amino acids of ubiquitous proteins predicts the tree of life with an astonishing degree of accuracy..
#3 ervs endogenous retroviruses that infected our ancestors are found in the same place of the genome of our closest primate cousins..

Chance or intelligent design?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA incofty could you answer how the single cell came about by chance?.
i know the argument for complexity in nature says natural selection over billions of years but this could not explain the complexity of the single cell the building blocks of life?.

Cofty— Deja vu. It goes like this every time, doesn’t it! I, for one, appreciate reading your knowledgeable comments.

why are we interested in what is going on in the JW
by enoughisenough infor the most of us, we have left the jws...and even though we are no longer jw, many of us are still interested in their beliefs, doctrines and practices as currently practiced.
i was trying to sort out in my mind why i still care about what they are doing.
i think the answer to that is a hope that something will develop in the jws that will wake up a lot of others, and selfishly, a lot of my friends.

Because our lives are still affected if we have active family members who have no awakened.

Physically in mentally agnostic ie sitting on the fence
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inhi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

Cofty, as I recall you at one time uploaded about 30 files on various topics regarding evolution. If exB is really interested in expanding his reading/knowledge on the subject, I think those would be a great place to start.
