Ever since the photoshopped pics of GB with beards was posted (without a disclaimer that it was PS), I've become more skeptical of some things if read here first.

Accepting blood transfusions. By which instrument it ceased to be a disfellowshipping offense to become cause for disassociation?
by EdenOne inok, i know the story of how it went, with the deal they reached with the bulgarian government, etc.
i know.. what i need to know is if there is an internal document that redefines willingly taking blood as a disfellowshipping offense into a cause for disassociation.
a letter from the branch?

Looks like the change that was motivated by Bulgaria refusing to recognize JWs was in the mid- to late-90's.

Tony Morris was definitely dismissed for being "not open to any agreement"...with the alcohol issue being a side problem as part of the evidence against him.
Would sure like to know the source, or at least have more than one (two witnesses anyone?).

Faithful Slave Appointment: What are the assumptions of Watchtower Matthew 24:45-47 Eschatology?
by Vanderhoven7 intext: matthew 24:45-47.
45 “who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?
46 it will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

Providing the most widely circulated book in the world is pretty good communicatuon. ~ Sea Breeze
But that fact that it is so confusing and contradictory that there is no singular accepted understanding of it (Wiki says there are over 33,000 differing "Christian" denominations) would indicate that it is a pretty bad attempt at communication.
Doesn't seem much better than those "must be assembled" instructions poorly translated into English by a factory worker in China.
Surely God could have done better, or at least provided an update (dare I say New Light?).

by pepperheart2 inhi does any body know if the watchtower are printing any new awakes etc as these past 8 months or so i have had magazines from four different carts from four different towns 100s of miles apart and the most recent magazines that they all had were from 2021..

Why would they reprint old issues?
What makes that easier than to just "cut & paste" the old crap as a new, current issue with a current date?

It is embarrassing to believe that an All Powerful, Omnipotent GOD, who sends His Holy Word to instruct mankind on how to achieve salvation, lacks sufficient communication skills to relay his message without resulting in such confusion that has resulted in millenniums of debate without satisfactory resolution.

As frequently as they are getting New Light, I wouldn't trust anything I read in a 2021 publication.
It's important to keep up with Jehover's Chariot.

Black penis and other subliminal messages on song book
by Mikejw ini’m sure this has been covered in the past but there are a lot of videos appearing lately bringing this up again.. this chap phoned bethel in london about it and as soon as he said song book the service desk said i’m hanging up now.
they obviously know about it.. https://youtu.be/0dn-gj73r5u?si=ao4cd-0rpg7rv3ws.
so was there some pimos in the art department or was it more sinister and this organisation wanted to but pedo messages on the song book a bit like the demonic hand in the rev book?.

When there are so many examples it seems to go a bit beyond "coincidence". Probably a sad Bethelite who was dealing with sexual repression.

Oh noooooo! My favorite Youtubers turn out to be JW's.
by HappyDad inon the subject of beards....i recently realized that the people in three of the youtube channels i love to watch are jw's.
i don;t want to name these channels here, but you can message me if you want to know them.
shortly after the announcement of now being allowed to have a beard, the men on these youtube channels started growing facial hair, whereas until that point, they were clean shaven.

Just because they have permission to grow a beard doesn't mean that they should.
Right. But NOT being able to grow a beard until your "religious leaders" give you their permission does mean their religion is a Cult.
So much for the individual's Bible trained conscience being used to make their decisions in life.

are men more compliant than women
by enoughisenough ini watched a video once of men being trained ...it was a study.
they had the men doing the most rediculous things-can't remember quite what now.
so between that video, the letter to elders to keep their mouths shut about the koolaid, and to go along with the csa protocol, and what i will call insurance fraud by the jw, and who knows what other things the men in positions in the org go along with-these things prompt the question.

Men are definitely more compliant.
