  Even after the huge loss of support - down 60% - he still is making enough to live a bachelor's lifestyle in Zagreb all for doing nothing more than acting like a total creep and putting out as little content as possible in order to keep the illusion going that he's hard at work.

  I'm just reading and re-reading what Las Malvinas stated a couple of posts back. If that's all true, then it's all kind of an amazing story. Although I've no idea how great -- or not so great -- it would be to "live a bachelor's lifestyle in Zagreb".

  "God, who at various times and in diverse ways spoke long ago to the fathers through the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, . . . . " (Heb 1:1)
  In other words, God NOW speaks through his Son,

  WTF? Why would anyone conclude that THESE LAST DAYS (recorded circa 50 AD) has anything to do with NOW?

  Of course, persons of every time period of those 2000 years have concluded that THESE LAST DAYS applied to their time period. Seems like all the evidence suggests that they all were wrong.

  How about if there is no significance to this 2000 year old fable?

  Ok, you say it’s a “real” prophecy. Why now? Why 2000 years later? Have not more climactic things occurred in “Christianity” in that 2000 year period? Why would it apply to a meaningless “speck” of a religious movement ie, Jehovah’s Witnesses? The group is totally insignificant on the world scene— a Legend (only) in their own mind. How can it matter if 99.99% of the world population doesn’t give a sh!t or doesn’t even notice?

  Prediction: no more changes for a long while

  i’ve noticed a pattern where things don’t go the way i expect them to go and/or whenever i realise there is a trend and, i mentally adjust for the idea that the trend will continue, the trend stops in its tracks.

  so on that basis, and given many people, including myself, and active jws, have been asking ‘what changes will the governing body make next?’ perhaps the (disappointing) answer is: ‘nothing much for a while to come’.

  maybe they’ve made the changes they want for now, and will wait a while and see how it’s received.

  When I was just beginning to wake up, I cancelled our Direct Debit, I didn't hear a word from the Elders or anyone else. -- Phizzy

  I'm basing my statement on a younger couple who are friends of our (adult) children who told us that when they ceased FS there was no call from the elders. And, when they ceased attending meetings there was no contact from the elders. But, when they canceled their monthly donation, the elders were there in a New York second to check on them. Coincidence? Not likely.
