Is it just Watchtower?
HEADLINE (Aug 15) "Mets fans lose minds over "Hawk Tuah" girl First Pitch"
Mets fans spit on the team’s decision to have Hailey Welch — also known as the “Hawk Tuah” girl — throw out the first pitch before Thursday’s painful 7-6 loss to the A’s.
Welch became a viral sensation earlier this year when the 22-year-old Tennessee native described a sexual act in a rather explicit manner.

Pomo because of Proclaimers book, 1995 generation change and Daniel prophecy book
by Gorb inhave some time thinking about my recent and less recent personal history because of the summer holiday.. the 90's crossed my mind.

The 1995 generation change just about took me out. But no! I spent hours/days researching it (wasn't it something about the greek word "to'te" meaning "then" the end will come -- as in not "immediately then" but "way off then"?). Of course, by research, I mean I drug out dozens of WT publications. Well, I convinced myself to hang in there another 15 years. It was the "overlapping generation" that eventually made me Awaken! (See how I did that. LOL)

Where Adam and Eve Vegan/Vegetarian?
by KerryKing injws seem to firmly believe that before the flood mankind eas vegan or at least vegetarian.. however, in gen 1:24,25 it says that god created livestock (domestic animals) and beasts of the eart (wild beasts).. why would adam and eve need livestock if they were vegan and naked?
wouldn't need wool or hide for clothing, nor meat for food.
possibly for dairy products only?

Of course they were! Just as were the "lions, tigers, and bears, OH MY!" *
* That's a line from a kids story book. But then so is the story about Adam and Eve. . . .

Are Jehovah's Witnesses Trapped in a Cycle? The Impact of Advice from Older Members
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/b4ydzsyycve?si=eahti8ccv5hekpqv.
so in the first clip i posted few days ago this young couple especially the sister are struggling with being committed active jws, very likely pioneers, and also following harmful advice from the watchtower not to have a family or higher education ot a better job.
now as things worsen they find it hard to cope.

I do recall a young couple asking us about having children in "The Last Days". We already had our kids so to late to say know, but we referred them to a couple that we know made the decision to "wait until after Armageddon". This couple was now in the late 50s and we even were not sure if they had regrets.
A couple of months later, our young friends announced that they were expecting their first child.
I'm guessing they got some good advice from the older JW couple.

This Organization is now for the ignorant and willful suckers . . .
Or those "faking it" for the social aspects. Ignore what they say and concentrate on how they live. How many JWs LIVE like "it's right around the corner"?

God won't lift a finger to help you.
by nicolaou insea breeze: @nicolau,i stated my case rather succiently, which you failed to address.
if you have a better solution to the problem of evil than what jesus offers, then why don't you present that in a new topic?.
pathetic diversion.

Sad observation
by Gorb inreading about jw.org rules changes these days gives me a sad observation.. everything what "is" today, can be gone tomorrow.. that makes it all worthless.
you were an elder, searching for evidence, and proof to df a person.
because he or she was not humble enough.

Yep! All it will take is another governmental authority threatening their tax exempt status and they'll modify their
procedurelanguage regarding the procedure to attempt tocomplyfind a loophole to the statute. -

We were discussing Gods refusal or inability to come to the aid of people with specific illnesses or those in imminent danger.-- Sea Breeze
Once again we have:
As I stated in the original string of posts that was hijacked,
I would love to see EVIDENCE.
At one time (as a devout JW) I truly believed in God answering prayers. I was many times convinced of my own prayers being answered (getting the result that I wanted).
If you have enough confidence then do as Elijah did (1 Kings 18). Slaughter a bull and place it on an altar and wait for [your] God to consume it with fire (without you striking the match). Are you convinced you would get the same result as did Elijah? Or, would your God leave you standing as Baal did to his worshippers?
PUT UP OR SHUT UP!
