  i am non political and have never voted but nonetheless i have been keenly watching to see how the trump presidential race unfolds.

  i believe that his involvement in propelling or influencing a leaning toward bible prophecy will unfold.

  how, i can’t say but something tells me that this anomaly and outlier being trump is highly signifiant!

  This whole billion dollar war chest now 20 million in debt.

  I sincerely hope there is an audit to see where a BILLION$ went. I suspect a lot of VERY EXPENSIVE salaries and no bid contracts to friends and families. Of course, it would just be a waste of money. Apparently you can hire your brother/husband for "protection" and pay 100'$ of 1000'$ from campaign funds and that's OK.

  2024 year Highlights: JWs hit 9 million Publishers

  watchtower put out some highlights for the 2024 service year:.

  average publishers: 8,828,124. peak publishers: 9,043,460. a 43.2 percent increase in "those who returned to jehovah", meaning 65,816 were reinstated.

  baptized: 296,267. memorial attendance: 21,119,442. missing stat: number of partakers .. womp womp.

  Blondie's chart seems to indicate steady growth through the years, though slowing after 2016 (which was before Covid). I guess this is when there was considerable sell off of poorly producing (of contributions) congregations.

  IDK if I believe that number of congregations is that indicative of anything. All reports on attendance are that it is on a serious downtrend. ZOOM attendance is questionable as any kind of "attendance". I personally know some who admit they sign on, but without camera, and thus are able to go about with whatever task they really want to be doing -- watching TV, whatever, etc

  Clearly there is no zeal or urgency. The JWs I know personally and via reports from JW family are all vacationing big time. Nearly everyone has made at least one international vacation and very often they are to Europe. (That's probably a bigger deal for US citizens than others. Traveling to an international destination other than ie, Cancun is fairly expensive and a 10 hour flight.) You wouldn't know they are worried about the cost of milk and eggs.

  surely we all have one or two that truly sticks out in our memories, no matter how much we would like to forget.

  my favorite wt lie: the reason they don't want to release the name of the "scholars" who worked on the new world translation is because they do not want to accept "glory and honor" from others.

  Thank you Sea Breeze. That is very informative. I have not seen anything that extensive in refuting the claim. I suspect no one else ever bothered to invest the time & effort into the matter.

  (Of course, my post was NOT in any way suggesting that the "Rhodes" claim had ANY real merit.)

  You don't think the fact that none on the "translating committee" had any degrees in the original biblical languages had anything to do with it? Only one had a 2 hr. survey course in Koine Greek.

  it is funny how christians argue back and forth over the father, jesus christ and make it look as the father and the son are are loggerheads over supremacy.. even who to pray to between the father and jesus are means to create rivalry.

  it boils down to this, your essence of being a christian goes beyond those unending argument making jesus a rival of his father.

  psalms 65: 2. o hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts* will come.. john 14: 13 also, whatever you ask in my name , i will do this, so that the father may be glorified in connection with the son.

  I think you missed the AFTER ARMAGEDDON part.

  They claim they need to build these properties even though Armageddon is just around the corner as they will use these new properties even after Armageddon, as though the electricity grid will remain unharmed and power plants, of course, will continue to operate via "miracle".
