i post on a couple of forums and read and lurk and all that stuff.. a theme that seems to be gaining momentum is about how the gb are 'tightening their grip' and 'becoming more cultish'.. i don't read the publications anymore and oddly i read extracts of them on the forums.. punk is babbling now.............sorry...................my questions are (sorry if they're a bit long.

Yes, the new definition of BRAZEN CONDUCT allows them to "take action" on ANYTHING that they conclude is "brazen" -- your attitude, your opinions, not to mention your actions. It does not have to be in violation of the 10 Commandments, just the 10 Thousand Rules & Regularions regarding Brazen Conduct.

he then explained to me that this week, for the local needs, congregations across the us will have a brother deliver a special outline on blood transfusions.. .

From what I understand, they are damn near manuscripts instead of outlines. Not much room for thoughts from the heart.
Can't say that for certain, haven't seen a WT talk outline in years.

I find that witnesses that comment on JW forums, know much more than the average witness.
If they knew as much as we do...........they'd be here too!
do you tend to blame your problems on the fact that you were a jehovah's witness?.
This is probably contrary to the thoughts posted by most here, but I think my life may be better in many ways as a result of the influence of the WT. Most non-JW friends and family got involved in things that brought unnecessary misery in their lives. I truly do think I was spared much of that. Still, the emphasis on "The End" being always so imminent without doubt kept me from pursuing higher education and seeking out longer term financial investment thinking. Who of this "generation" (NOT the overlapping one) thought they would ever face retirement age and Social Security? It also caused me to put foolish trust and faith into some individuals not deserving, based on the idea that they were "Christians/Brothers".
i've observed some forum users here that claim to be active witnesses (even claims to be ministerial servants or elders) while duplicitously supporting apostates online.
my contention is this; why attend meetings and/or participate in the preaching activity when the second you divulge your apostate thinking into the congregation, you'll be disfellowshipped?
while this action taken may seem to be harsh, the outworking of events wouldn't be much different in one of christendom's churches.

A few JWs could justify coming here to try to influence people back (warnings or not). This seems like a reasonable thing, so I am surprised the WT is running scared (I guess more people would be influenced away from WT than towards it if they expose themselves to all the facts).

There are several people on here that have all their WT facts together way more than even the WTS does. I've come to see that responsible parties at the WTS haven't even been able to keep up with all their own contradictions/changes/mis-statements through the years -- even the recent years if you disregard the "antique" history of Russell's days.
Clearly there are some wackos here....... But there are also those whose quotes and statements hold up under scrutiny.

Apparently there had been recently a large unchaperoned JW gathering that was organized online somehow. Supposedly drug use, excessive alcohol, underage drinking, and fornication were prevelant at these gatherings. He stated that, and get this.............51 congregations, 14 circuits in 4 different states were involved in this gathering that went awry. 100 young ones were inplicated.
