Sending this form or any form or any letter or making any statement to the Elders is the LAST THING you want to do if you desire to "quit quietly" (or as we like to call it here: FADE).

These signed and retained documents of peaceful leavers will contribute to a Death by a Thousand Cuts for these religious, shithouse dictators.

Of course, my only experience is here in the US, but with that caveat if you really believe the BS stated above then I am afraid my friend, you are seriously delirious. How many TRUE BELIEVERS do you think are left in the Organization?

i have a few jw relatives who are true believers.

by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.

all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.

I believe (see how I did that) that this explains at least 50% of active JW's. It's their "lifestyle" just as any Catholic who goes to Mass "believes" all that rubbish. The majority of JW's cannot explain their beliefs. They just go along with the rest of the JW Crowd and remain in "awe" of the GB and the WT Leaders. You can't challenge a belief or have doubts about a belief that you can't even explain. Ask them any serious question that they can't explain and you'll just get an answer like: "Well......., I just know it's The Truth(™)".

i can’t remember the last time i stayed in on new year’s eve.

every year we went out and made this date a real party.

it was a celebration that included a night out, a stay in a hotel , eating, drinking and dancing to live music!.

Freezing rain predicted. For some reason the weather is always shitting on NYE. Considered catching a flight to somewhere warm. Ft Lauderdale maybe. But traveling isn't all that fun anymore. TSA. Flight delays. Walking miles to the gates.Easier to stay near home.

On the other hand -- Local restaurants are closed due to Covid, so no better place to go than our own hot tub with a nice bottle of champagne (if we stay up til midnight).

The word "BELIEVERS" is a bit of a problem here.

IMO most JW's have NO IDEA what they believe!

They could no more explain the "time, times, and 1/2 a time" than explain quantum physics. They have no idea WTF this "overlapping" BS is about. All they know is JW dot ORG and that they are "SPECIAL" and only they will be saved and everyone else is "lesser" and will be destroyed and they will inherit all the "booty" left behind.

JW's no longer teach/learn any doctrine. It's just listen, obey, or get shunned.

Frankly, I think we could use a new 3rd Party. The Dems and the GOP are really one and the same. They have both abandoned the middle class, middle American. But I don't mean some fringe group like the Green Party, etc that really doesn't matter in any election.

Trump could have enough influence to start such a thing. He has the grassroots connections to get things rolling. But as mentioned the man is 74 years old. I wouldn't want to be tackling this kind of thing and I'm younger than he is.

although they are unaware, for the most part, our ship is slowly veering off course.
