It was $1.88/US Gal here until Biden got elected. It's now $2.09 or higher (saw $2.28 yesterday) and the man is only in office one day.
You folks in the UK have obviously been getting f*cked longer and harderer by your politicians than us in the US. Surely there is no higher cost to refine oil there than here. Plus you don't have to ship it halfway around the world.
Also consider that the US is 40x larger than Britain. We likely drive a little further in the average day/week/year and it has a greater impact on our personal finances. AND, we LOVE our SUV's.
