most of the witnesses i knew never really talked about sex.

whatever couples did was pretty much kept quiet.

every once in a while a wife might complain to the elders or a friend that the husband is too demanding or even immoral because of the sex practices the husband wanted.

Sex was "bad"! And of course, oral sex was the baddest of bad. Played it pretty much by the rules as a JW teenager. Even later (20's) would never go "all the way" because there was some rule about "penetration" prior to the definition of pornea being anything and everything sexual. Even after getting married had a bit of a hangup about oral sex (usually after one of those meeting parts condemning it). Most of us younger married guys joked about NOT getting involved in the "practice" of oral sex with our wives -- because we no longer needed more "practice". In fact. we were damn good at it.

trying to put politics aside (even though that won't really work), but ny governor andrew cuomo is blowing the other politicians out out the water (orange man [trump] and the lizard [biden]).. i don't know if cuomo has a usb port in the back of his head plugged into a hard drive but the guy speaks, analyzes and talks coherently.

the orange man always passes difficult questions to someone else.

the lizard can't comprehend what the question is but tries to answer something.. cuomo comes out with facts, analysis and direction on what needs to be done.

What a difference a year makes!

Cuomo was certainly a front runner as a candidate for POTUS. I even thought the Party might lay their hands on him at the Convention. I'm still shocked they went with Slo-Joe and The Ho and even more surprised that ticket won (and really doubt if it did if it were not for Dominion).

At this point I think Andy's "goose is cooked". I can't see him surviving the sex scandal now that his own Party has turned against him.

As far as the POTUS position, it doesn't matter. Now that MSM like NBC are reporting Biden's stumbles it would seem the puppet masters are ready to retire Slo-Joe and welcome in President Harris.

so yesterday while i was doing some work for a customer, i noticed the wt mags on the sofa.

and i asked the elderly man if he was a jehovah witness?.

he said that he and his wife and all his children were raised in the religion, but only he and his wife attend the meetings or zoom.

This was a hard decision at nearly 60 years old, let alone 80+.

We lost our entire network of "friends" from the Hall when we faded. Not DF. Not DA. Just "inactive & stumbled".

the court in ghent has fined jehovah's witnesses eur 12,000 but due to the indexation adjustment, the actual payout to the victim will be (at this point) 8 times higher.

the multiplier seems weird to us, for those familiar with us law, the eur 12,000 is the statutory fine, taking into account the devaluation of currency, the court system sets an indexed multiplier for fines, currently at 8 - similar to how fines in the us were set in the 1800's at $100 would now be several thousands of dollars.. it is likely that the jehovah's witnesses will pursue this case to the european court.. according to the prosecutor, this case is therefore mainly about recognizing the malpractices within the community, not so much about sanctions: “in our opinion, this is a blatant violation of the discrimination law.

You can likely just "fade" into the sunset and the Elders will leave you alone as long as you ain't "stirring the shit". However if you're determined to be an advocate against them, they will then likely "hunt you down" and DF you to limit the association others will have with you.

I hear there are a lot of jobs that people in the U.S. don't want and that immigrants will do those jobs. Well, I say offer those jobs to people who are on government assistance, and if they don't take the jobs and do well at them, then cut off their assistance.

Those people who do not want to work will not even if you try to force them into it. They've learned to play the system. They are the same people who file work comp claims for "injuring" their back from a little hard work and then never seem to be able to recover. Then as soon as they can, they'll file for Social Security disability too. Businesses would rather they mooch off the "system" than mooch off of them and damage their insurance rates.

i like subjects that delve into the history of the religion and proofs that the witnesses are not the true religion.

i’m not so much into apologists saying we need to go to meetings, especially if the poster looks like a scammer trying to get ex jws going.

Frankly, my interest in JW subjects is fading (like me, haha). I just have a hard time caring anymore about what they are doing. In the past I wanted to "keep up" with JW World due to family involvement plus it's fun to watch them squirm in an effort to squeeze out of past failed prophecies, but I think I'm hopefully moving on to becoming an "ex-exJW"
