i’d like to marry my best friend of 30+ years, turned ‘secret’ girlfriend of 1 ½ years who is a jehovah’s witness, born into it, baptized and an active ‘pioneer’.

our marriage would happen prior to letting any of her jw friends and cohorts know that we are together.

once married she may simply come forward and ‘admit’ or we may wait until it’s found out – one way or the other, the reason for this marriage is not customary – i am hoping that by doing so she can avoid being ‘marked’ or possibly ‘disfellowshipped’ once our relationship is no longer a secret and due to our already being married at that point, there can be no notion from society elders about her ending the relationship.

You are right that she's lying to her friends and ministers by not letting on but she would be, conversely, lying to herself by disallowing her natural feelings, inclinations and desires and that can't lead to a happy life either. This system she was born into creates a high likelihood of unhappiness - it almost insures some level of lifelong misery. It functions like a trap and you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.~ datw

Well, hell, where do I sign up for that? Why would anyone run like hell to get away from that kind of manipulation that's makes them unhappy, miserable, and trapped? In fact, wouldn't you want to VOLUNTEER to be a "full time" slave for them and help recruit other ~~people~~ suckers to join you in that miserable system?

WAIT! All of us here HAVE quit volunteering for that system! And, all of here have laid a plan to RUN LIKE HELL to escape it. That doesn't mean some (or even most) of us don't have some misery or unhappiness, but at least we aren't trapped in the bOrg any longer.

If you marry before anyone knows of it then there cannot be any suggestion made that she should end the relationship. Marriage (even to an unbeliever) is "sacred". However, she will be "investigated" by two elders to determine if there is cause for a Judicial Meeting over any "sin". Obviously, your fornicating (your word, I believe) is a "sin" in the JW rules (and elsewhere to many). Fornicating "often" without her ever confessing and ceasing her 'wicked way" will most definitely result in her being disfellowshipped. From recent Elders School, a person cannot be deemed repentant "immediately" once they are caught if they carried on the offense for an extended period of time. (Of course King David WAS repentant immediately when Samuel confronted him about Bathsheba.)

The only way she can avoid being disfellowshipped is by avoiding meeting with the Elders (which would surely result in her losing her pioneer position which she will lose anyway just by marrying an unbeliever), or by meeting with them and DENY DENY DENY any fornicating or unclean conduct and even any overninght sleepover even if there was NO fornicating. (Staying over night alone with a person of the opposite sex is circumstantial evidence of fornication). If she denies anything immoral (or in conflict with JW rules) ever occurred then the Elders cannot take any Judicial action as there are NOT "two witnesses" (or a confession) to wrong doing. You two will have to determine if she can lie her way out of it.

Note there is a scripture in Psalms which says to confess your sins to Jehovah alone. You might use that to convince her that she does not owe the Elders any explanation about your "sinful" relationship.

Good luck. You're involved with a person who won't leave their religion but sneaks around and breaks the most ardent rule that the religion has.

Yes the 1935 is Old Light because there was such an increase in partakers that they had to do something, but they also added the caveat that likely any new partakers were insufficiently taught about the 2 classes and were likely still pining away on their Christendom doctrine of going to heaven OR.............they were not mentally right.

Doesn't the Group of Eight who are all "new partakers" answer that for us?

Olin Moyle's letter to Judge Rutherford

olin moyle was an attorney who was invited to bethel headquarters back in the 1930's to assist with legal cases at that time.

he became disillusioned with the culture at the headquarters and penned the following letter of resignation.

rutherford replied with an outrageous article in the watchtower provoking moyle to sue.

There is complaint in various places that the Watch Tower studies have degenerated into mere reading lessons.

What would he say if he saw the absolute JOKE it has now become?

The claim is made, "One can't be a real Bethelite without drinking beer."

I don't know about now, but it was sure that was in the '70s & '80s when I visited Bethel to visit young guys from our Cong that were there.

Rutherford was not wrong about everything. Religion IS snare and a racket! (JW's included!)

administering a blood transfusion when directed by a superior - jehovah's witness policy effective june 15th, 2018. while the hospital liasion committee elders were instructed that they may inform doctors and nurses of this decision, this letter was not allowed to be distributed to anyone outside of hlc members.. as a result of the concealment of this letter, and by virtue of the fact that this information was only to be shared verbally with jehovah's witness medical professionals and others, confusion erupted across the united states and in other branch offices of jehovah's witnesses.

countless letters were received at watchtower headquarters in new york from concerned jw nurses, paramedics, and others who were instructed verbally on this new policy, but which contradicted existing written policy that had been in effect for many decades.. in addition to letters from witness medical professionals, circuit overseers in the field wrote to the us branch and hospital information desk in new york about the problems caused by this unreleased policy.

for example, south carolina circuit overseer brandon roberts reported to headquarters that "the majority of the nurses in our circuit were not aware of this updated policy.

This letter only went to Hospital Liaison member and still it was leaked!! DAYMN! There are "insiders" everywhere helping to expose this hypocritical ~~religion~~ Cult.

The Reddit post shows an email from the JW Hospital Information Desk stating: "However, no copies, pictures, emails, text messages, letters, or anything in writing from the letter is to be given to anyone."

Just like Hillary Clinton, they haven't learned that, thanks to the internet, nothing is confidential -- nothing is private. This didn't even take any help from Anonymous. Evidently, it's just some HLC member who has had it "up to here" and has awakened.

I suspect the word going around at WT HQ is: DAMAGE CONTROL! DAMAGE CONTROL!

Of course, as of this moment, this is unsubstantiated. I guess I am still stuck on that "two witness rule". I'd like confirmation from a 2nd source.

I was sincerely distraught when first learning TTATT (The Truth About The Truth) to the point of physical illness. I was a True Believer. Prominent elder. Circuit and District speaker. It was a judicial matter that went to two CO’s, the DO, and the Brooklyn Service Dept. Since I knew the real facts of the matter I knew that they all “bought” the lies of the guilty brother involved. How could anyone fool the Holy Spirit? Unless there really is no Divine Direction. As I started digging it was like dominoes and there was no stopping it.

I began asking my wife (my best friend) to help answer the questions of this dilemma. They were sincere questions that I needed answered. Sadly we realized that everything we had been taught and believed for all of our lives was BS. I resigned from all positions (family needed me) and gradually quit service and meetings. She was much slower to “pull the plug” on it but when we became “outcasts” since we were no longer hob-knobbing with the JW Clergy class she saw that all the live was conditional. Then she did her own research. We learned that our kids had already determined it was all a Cult and we’re just biding their time to make their break

Remember, Baby Steps!! Don’t go at your wife with a shotgun approach. Bring up one issue disturbing you and wait for her to find the resolution. (Waiting on Jehovah IS NOT a solution.)
