It must have been something big to take him down. He was the "face" of their PR Dept and, after looking at a few YouTube videos, I'd say he did a damn fine job of it. Sure would be interesting to know if it was "sin" or him awakening.........

An intro to my experience
by drippee ingood evening,.
i had an old account a few years back but since then have had a lot happen to me.
i grew up in the faith, pioneered, did everything i could to keep my parents and peers off of my back, but nothing seemed to be enough to satisfy them.

I miss my friends and family because I don’t have any now and i guess im just having mixed feelings.
You relationships might be the same among old friends, especially any who are PIMO. However, old friends who are still "in" would likely be cautious.
Your experience gives the impression you are likely still young -- that is, young enough to begin acquiring real friends. It's not as easy to do in real life as it was as a JW. There you have automatic friends, but of course, they are also conditional friends. Most will put the rules of the borganization above their personal relationships. Many who may not really want to do that, may still do it out of fear from reprisal if they are caught breaking the rules.
The greatest revenge is living a happy & successful life!

You will find that most direction in printed form doesn't include a letterhead to avoid legal liability towards certain corporations. I hope that clarifies your query.
CYA -- That is a reasonable explanation considering the matter addressed. Thank you.

Why would they reprint old issues? What makes that easier than to just "cut & paste" the old crap as a new, current issue with a current date?
How much ya wanna bet that they DID NOT RE-PRINT old issues. I'm betting they had that shit sitting around somewhere and this is the brainstorm to get rid of it.

Great WT article.
That is what religion does -- it gives people "HOPE" -- even if nothing tangible ever proves true.

I am inclined to believe the whistle blower. . . . ~ Enough
It all makes sense to me. WT is in a CYA mode, as they should be considering the "attacks" there are against them of CSA mismanagement resulting in both criminal and civil lawsuits, as well as the violation of Human Rights -- breaking up families and enforcement of bans on medical care (transfusions). Not only do these things damage their "image", more importantly, they are costing them MILLION$.
The blood issue is almost already a "non-issue" as a result of the Bulgarian compromise in the late 1990's. It's not a problem to shift it over to "individual conscience" and ordering elders to "step back". Likely to do that via verbal instructions from the CO to elders. A simple statement that it is "better" legally if individuals write their own personal "Blood Directive" vs a formal WT printed Blood Card. Autologous transfusions becoming a "conscience matter" will be the first step in this transition.
I can imagine a "Jubilee" decree on DF/DA persons -- but with limitations on those guilty of apostacy or CSA. This is already in force when dealing with association between family members. They will not direct elders to take DF action against an active JW for association with immediate family, though the individual may lose congregation privileges/status.
I doubt there will be any official doctrinal change on 1914/1919 as far as a retraction. It appears that the dates or calculation to arrive at such dates are already in their past. Lately, it is just "world conditions" that make The End so very close -- very, very close.
To the WT Rep reading this site: The WT heavies are pretty damn stupid if they don't make these changes. The lawsuit money grubbing lawyers & politicians have to be stopped.
Welcome to JW Light. Ya ain't seen nothing yet!

How would you define RELIGION, and why?
by Fernando in"judge" rutherford defined or classified all religion as "a snare and a racket" in his books "religion" and "enemies".. after rutherford's death in 1942, his protege, watchtower vice president, and aclu darling, hayden c. covington, in the early 1950's, for reasons of legal expedience and supremacist aspirations, suddenly converted the watchtower into a religion.. this was done alongside one of the most audacious, spurious and longstanding swindles of the us legal system.
this involved twisting philippians 1:7 and misrepresenting the watchtower's true nature, objectives and activities.. .
this meant that it became necessary for the watchtower to suddenly reclassify and redefine religion (w51 1/15 p. 43 new legal booklet well named; w51 8/15 p. 511 questions from readers; yb75 p. 161 part 2 "for gladys bolton...").. two new watchtower classifications were suddenly created: "true religion" and "false religion".. now "true religion" meant "true beliefs" whilst "belief" in ever changing watchtower doctrine was equated with the one "faith" of scripture.. all this while the watchtower increasingly and maliciously truncated, obfuscated and hid the liberating full "good news" (or unabridged gospel) of scripture, which it lyingly claimed (in court) that it was actually "defending and legally establishing".. how would you have defined religion before learning ttatt?.

Religion:
An organization that offers its members the mythical "person" to blame for their own shortfalls and failures in life; and the fantasy of cheating death and being rewarded with a significantly better future provided that they follow their every changing rules exclusively.
