I’m wondering whether to just come out with it or to just fade.
If you just come out and tell them what your thinking and that you have doubts, that may totally screw up your "fade". I assume that since you have managed to get reinstated, you do not want to do anything to jeopardize that so that you can maintain a relationship with JW family. It is especially dangerous to express doubts about the GB. "Don't you believe that the GB are the arrangement Jehovah is using to direct His Organization?" Answer that wrong and you're outta there again!
Probably best if you continue to play the "MOM IS SICK" card and tell them your schedule is SO BUSY at the moment that you are SO STRESSED OUT. Thank them for their love and concern and promise you'll see them real soon -- just as soon as you are able to get back in person.

I think WT is doing their best to avoid this same outcome. If more US States relax the Statute of Limitations on civil suits for past CSA the potential of it taking down WT financially increases.

Angus Stewart, the Counselor (or whatever his official title is) in the ARC hearings knew the Elders Book better than any of the elders that were in the Hot Seat. That guy was VERY impressive.

Apparently, the recent changes happened so fast (due to Japan and Norway decisions) that they weren't yet incorporated into this release. Hence, the changes in the GB Update will be covered thru the already released Elder's Correspondence and then at upcoming annual Elder's Meeting / Training session, wherein they'll be directed to write things in the margins.
So this tells you just how sudden this "90-day DF'ing, then repentance and let back in" change was.
Sometimes what WT publishes or says in statements is not really how things happen in reality. They "spin" things for public consumption but I doubt they really intend for their "secret manual", which they know is NOT secret any longer, to conflict with the spin they are giving Norway and other European communities that see their violation of Human Rights.
But then , WHY the new revision so soon? They just released the latest edition in October 2023!
