How has 3 years of inflation affected WTC?

the current u.s. administration and the fed says inflation is hard to tame.

it was over 9% at it's peak.

one of the greatest increases is price of food, something that everyone feels to some extent.

If times are so "hard", explain how they keep building additional Starbucks and people continue paying $8.00(US) for a cup of (fancy) coffee when a pound of coffee at the market is $3.50 (cheap) to $10.00 (stupid expensive)?

Or, how long do you have to wait to be seated in a moderate restaurant on a Friday or Saturday night?

Everyone I know is planning a cruise or taking an international vacation (usually Cancun but many are going to Europe, esp Italy seems to be popular).

A "blue collar" union journeyman (carpenter, equip operator, iron worker, plumber) is earning over $40/hr, plus gets free health care (paid by the employer) for the entire family, and has a pension plan (paid for by the employer) that will pay them full pay when they retire at 60yo (or sooner).

Yet I assure you all of these people are complaining about inflation and the cost of gasoline ($3.50/US gal) and the high cost of groceries. Yet, they are buying new SUVs that cost $50,000-$60,000 that get 20 MPG.

Looking for audio and video programs of Assembly and Convention

hello, i am wondering if anyone has clear recording if it from the cd that the branch gave or clear radio without static of the entire convention and circuit assembly program in audio.

i love to listen to them because i drive a lot and always love what they have but missing the others in my collections of audio and at night time the videos whichs sometime helps me to go to sleep.. circuit assembly and special assembly day program.

1984-1985 ca be stabilized in the faith.

Overlapping Generation

the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.

his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

Thus this proves that the "generation" of Matthew chapter 24, as so clearly shown in this photograph and by my invisible pointer (which is present but you can't see), is made up of two groups not "two generations."

That's almost as confusing as Splane's ex-splane-ation.

there was on older white-haired circuit overseer in houston around 1989 or 1990. last name started with a w i think.... not sure though.

Way way way back it was Angelo Manera. (You have to be very old to remember him.) But all JW's had a bit harsher personalities back then.

More recently, a CO named Frank Barr (not sure about that spelling). He was a poor excuse of a CO. They were obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel when WTHQ sent him on the road. His wife was even a worse bitch, especially to the young/teen crowd.

And even more recently, I think they all seem to be "Company Men" who know they'll lose their cushy little job if they let something slip by that costs HQ a few bucks.

how many of the millions of jws know it’s not true but stay anyway?.

my guess is most jws know it’s not true on a subconscious level to an extent but they don’t want to think about it too much and would never ever voice it out loud.. but this is probably true with all religions around the world?.

I might agree that most JWs think that some of it is NOT TRUE, but still they will tell you that IT IS THE CLOSEST TO THE TRUTH that is out there anywhere.

BUT, there are plenty that just lap up the KoolAid and truly believe.

i get a few good laughs from the ex-jw facebook site: " ex jw humor will set you free".. i was laughing over dinner with 3rd gen over this post tonight: "question for the audience: i was driving around today and it hit me...there are big falsehoods (armageddon etc.

) that we were told, but also ridiculous falsehoods.

They are 8 (or 9, or 10, or 12, depending on when you're counting heads) delusional men that really, honest to God, think that God is "talking" to them, and "through" them to a few million sheeple followers (less than 1/10th of 1% of the world population), who have declared themselves, and them alone, as the Faithful & Discreet Slave spoken about in Matt. 24:45. Though just a few years ago, they taught that it was all of those who declared to be of the remaining members of the 144,000 (the "remnant"). Evidently that changed to it being ONLY the GB when the "F&D Slave" was named in a lawsuit and served to one of those claiming to be of the "remnant".

Wake up! It's all bullshit!

Kingdom hall cleaning

what are your memories of hall cleaning?.

i actually enjoyed it on the whole, my dad as the elder always tried to keep it to under one hour but in my later years in a hard-line congregation it was a chore.

the po's wife had a printed list and we had to complete it all before left (or got disapproving looks if we left after an hour).. as well as vacuuming the whole building the lost said you had to dismantle the vacuum and clean and polish all the internal elements.
