It is not meant to be total immunity, but to keep any case less deadly, or a fewer symptoms.
That's not what they promised in the beginning. That was said only after the vaccines did NOT prevent the disease.
i didn’t get the covid vaccine, but i admit, i was scared as shit i made the wrong decision because there was so much confusion out there.
practically all my family and most of my friends took the vaccine because everyone was depending on those in charge to speak the truth.
now a lot of them are sick, and they can't figure out why.

My wife was hospitalized with covid after getting the first vaccination. I had to get both before I could enter the hospital to visit. I figured we were older and had existing health issues, so got the shot. I got covid anyway later. I do not think I would get them again. Hindsight is 20/20. Yes, we knew people who died. One couple in their 80s who lived in a nursing home both died the same day. Our family has several in the medical field. Those who worked in hospitals saw deaths every day. Months after covid hit, they had a big celebration at the hospital when the first person who had been intubated was able to be discharged. WHY? Because everyone who had to be intubated prior to this patient had died in the hospital.
It was a serious health threat.
The origin and the masks and all the bullshit promises for the vaccine -- well, that's another story. There a lot of people who should be arrested, jailed, or even executed, ie, all those who conspired to "create" this virus and release it on humanity, and all those who made millions on it.
the last assembly i attended was over 10 years ago.
the monotone speakers, boring talks, uncomfortable seats, long prayers and nodding off after the lunch break did me in.
i survived the morning sessions, but the afternoon sessions were brutal.
Dagney, we must be about the same age. I was drug to that convention with my parents and grandparents although I only recall it from photos. I think that is the time frame when JW's were at their peak. Those events were impressive. I don't think any (OK almost none) JW would show up for convention in a hellishly hot venue like that today.
Of course, one radio/TV personality supposedly said that JW's came to town with the 10 Commandments and a $10 bill and did not break either of them.
this morning i was in our front yard sitting down pulling weeds when i saw 3 people slowly walking on the sidewalk in my direction.
2 of them were young, handsome, clean shaven, wearing nice crisp white shirts and perfectly tailored black slacks.
they could have been mormons except.... there was a 60ish portly woman wearing a frumpy dress and ugly sandals.
The info is everywhere yet most dubs are too lazy or too afraid to look at the evidence.
At this point, considering all the information that is available at the click of a keyboard, anyone who does not know TTATT is CHOOSING to not know.

there was a time they preached the great tribulation was a short period of time between the fall of babylon and jesus coming back to save them, now they realize there are difficult years ahead of us, watch this latest morning worship video by per christensen on this subject .
Anyone who does not now know TTATT, does not want to "know" it -- or actually CHOOSES TO NOT KNOW.
i am thinking that this could be an interesting topic.
most of us never had a chance to go to college, many of us were involved in various service industries like cleaning and such, and we have had some limitations placed on us.
so i thought it might be interested to see what has worked for people, what hasn't, what the progression has been, where people went wrong and where they got it right.
Very interesting reading.
It's very encouraging that so many of you have done so well in life and are having a rewarding career.
The greatest revenge is living a happy & successful life!
not just jw's, but countless others (evangelicals etc.
) are claiming that we're in the "last days.".
but........bible students/jw's have been spouting this fake message since the 19th century!!!!!!.
Remember that people need always to be engaged in something mysterious
And, for the disadvantaged people, there must be something that gives them HOPE for a better future, be that Heaven or a New World or Panda Petting Paradise or a handful of PowerBall tickets.

We "attended" the last big district/regional convention in our area prior to covid. It was held at a large rented convention center in the nearby major city. I got a hotel room directly across the street as I was really concerned about my elderly mother who would also be attending though she was riding with friends from her congregation.
We skipped the morning session and went over for the intermission. By then I was refusing to ever wear a tie again and had a beard (I'd be right in style now), so the attendants at the main entrance saw me as suspicious until a young guy (now an elder) from our former congregation saw us and greeted us with a very warm hello. Very genuine young guy who grew up with our kids. His dad was a real shaker and mover so his greeting meant we were OK and didn't have to be followed all day.
We enjoyed meeting old friends as we walked around prior to the start up of the afternoon session, but when the music started we headed back to the hotel and stopped and had lunch at a nice cafe.
Yeah. We could endure that again.

I just recall that they were long and boring. The best thing you (a brother) could hope for was to get an "assignment" that required you to be "working" during the sessions. Auditing was good, or being an attendant in the hallways telling others to find their seat. Even better was being a "big shot" in the Chairman's Office or Administration where you got to rub shoulders with all the Bigwigs from Bethel.
It does seem like many former JWs still have that problem with "long & boring" when they make their YouTube videos. I guess it just stays with a person.
