  hey folks.

  i've been on this board for just under seven months and i thank all of you who have contributed so generously to my education on things watchtower, and quite a few other things too.

  not all of it was on here but it was through this board i've been directed to sites like freeminds and jwfacts.

  Speaking of which I read today a briliant article about why people don't accept the reality even if heavy proof is provided.

  Some quotes:

  "A MAN WITH A CONVICTION is a hard man to change. Tell him you disagree and he turns away. Show him facts or figures and he questions your sources. Appeal to logic and he fails to see your point."

  "If you want someone to accept new evidence, make sure to present it to them in a context that doesn't trigger a defensive, emotional reaction."

  Meeting Day

  has anyone ever had that dreaded "meeting day" feeling where you know you are going to waste two hours or more of your life - not to mention on the weekends where you can't go away for a whole day somewhere because you have fs on saturday, then a meeting on sunday?

  or when you know you have to catch up on work etc but you know that with weekly fs pressures plus the meeting you have lost six hours before the weekend has even started?.

  I Fell You. Everyone who decided to fade feels the same. Last week after a long time I went to the KH. I kept asking myself: "What am I doing here? Who believes this crap? How could I believe this stuff? I'm wasting my life..."
  My advice: skip as many as you can. If you can't for the moment then buy a smartphone and get an internet connection. Stay in the corner and keep youself busy.

  New Disfellowshipping Policy?

  i heard the policy on disfellowshipping has changed, so that you cannot be disfellowshipped if you're not currently "fellowshipping".

  does this apply if you're baptised, but haven't associated for over a decade and then choose to speak out in the media (specifically tv) in a way that the watchtower society would consider to be apostasy e.g.

  questioning the society's function and/or the very existence of a creator?.

  I really liked their videos. In fact they really contributed to my coming to reality.
  
  I also liked VanCoffeeChick's channel. Very honest and warming.
  
  Hope the best to these people! Even if their life can't allow them to continue posting I think they've done a brilliant job at exposing the WTBTS and showing that there is life outside JWs.

  Haha. I first read:

  So my question was has anyone done pranks on the JWS (elders, local branch, Brooklyn)?
  And I don't mean here stupid stuff like pantsing, giving a s wirlie or things they migth affect someone's physical or emotional health. Or their property.
  I was thinking more like a prank call (e.g. pretend you're a reporter, call the branch and ask difficult questions), prank letters, emails, banners, stuff in the mail. So things that would generally make them think twice about the world they live in. Any ideas?
