Chronic relapse - what do I do?
by wayoutthere inmy first post here and unfortunately it is asking for help.. i was a born in jehovah's witness and from my earliest memories, i know i hated being one.
i hated the embarrassment of being the "outsider" at school and i hated not being allowed to have any friends.
of course i had the obligatory friends in the kingdom hall - none of whom were my age exactly and none of whom i would have personally chosen to be friends with if i had been left to pick them myself in a natural setting.

Wayoutthere, it sounds like you are suffering with anxiety, which is perfectly normal for a person who has had your upbringing. You will quite often hear adults say that kid's are so resilient. Well that isn't true. If their emotions are not listened to & ignored they sink in to the stomach & some times are triggered or reactivated in later life. As I said before this is a normal response. What is important now is that you don't ignore it. Go get some help. Psychologist is good as they will help you to understand yourself & find ways that you can work through/overcome this obstacle. They will not judge you & neither will we on this forum. It isn't you, o.k. you are not irrational, believe me. Big Hug. -

Actions speak louder than words
by Sabin ingday to you all.
i have had a thought i would like to share with you.
i cannot remember who it was, but i believe it has been mentioned (maybe paul grundy) that if you wish to null & void your baptism because you were so young when it took place that the wtbts will not allow it if you have been participating in the believes & practises of the religion when you were older & able to make a decision of your own free will.

GDay to you all. So it is your actions of participation that speak NOT your words, according to WT, yes.
That being the case I would like to state, that all those participating in WTBTS activities today, e.g. attending the K Hall/field ministry/donations/memorial/etc. Are in fact by their ACTIONS showing support to an organisation that protects Child Molesters. They are showing by their ACTIONS that they approve of the October 2012 policies as set out by the GB . Lets face facts here, with the RAC & all the other info that is now available, ignorance is inexcusable. They are showing approval of No-Blood policies/Shunning policies, & every other bad policy that WT has set up in the name of Jehovah & Jesus Christ.
If Actions speak Louder than Words, it must apply both ways, this is an undeniable truth is it not?

by Sabin inso my hubby has been on a bit of a roll about the jdubs, we were talking a lot about them & he said the buzz word he hate's the most is "worldly" why?
because he say's "with that one word they have condemned (according to their believes) a person as being worthy of nothing but death.

Gossiping
by Sabin inso last night we had some friends around for dinner, (not jw) & it was a really wonderful evening.
we talked about a variety of subjects, just had a laugh & drunk wine & beer.
this morning my husband & i were talking about how nice it was, how free we felt with our opinions.

Baker, His conduct came to light & he got much needed help. Can some-one please explain what this much needed help would have entailed? Personally I think it is BS, they just say they will help so that they can gain even more info about the person store it up & use at a later date to kick them out. One Elder told me, that the gossip amongst the elders on the Gold Coast is prolific. When they had an elders meeting with the CO one of them put his hand up & asked what he should tell his wife, the CO apparently said the same thing you should always be telling her, absolutely nothing.
It's amazing how they want to gossip about everything but when it comes to pedo's their lips are sealed a.

Big Big Big Big Big HUG for you & your husband. It will seem over whelming at times but I promise it gets better better better. I was reading your story & they have just knocked on the door it's funny i haven't been to the hall for a couple of years but I still got up & ran to my husband for emotional protection, so I am so happy that your husband is right beside you it makes it so much easier when your man just puts his arms around you & says " it's o.k. baby I got your back." Always keep that in mind it will help you to keep positive.

So last night we had some friends around for dinner, (not JW) & it was a really wonderful evening. We talked about a variety of subjects, just had a laugh & drunk wine & beer. This morning my husband & I were talking about how nice it was, how free we felt with our opinions. Then he said, "That is why JW's gossip all the time, it's because their conversation is so limited. You are afraid that you may watch the wrong movie or say the wrong thing maybe slip up with a swear word & then you become the subject of gossip. Maybe they will run back to the elders & there will be a marking talk on you". Well I think he may be right, cause really your whole conversation should centre on talking about the Borg,if it doesn't then you must be spiritually weak, not good association.
What do you think, why so much malicious gossiping?

This is all BS, what Respectful Observer said is more to the truth. The only thing they are interested in is the monthly report, who in the cong participated in doing the 30 hours (pioneer) they read them out & make the rest of the ones who cant do it feel like crap. Nowhere in the gospels did Jesus require a number of monthly hours. When you listen to them that is all they talk about. Who is pioneering. I think it is an insult to Jesus that that is their main concern.
"Oh Jehovah, Jehovah, didn't I go out during memorial season & do my 30 hours when so many others didn't . See I deserve everlasting life."

Scary21, no it was a group in America & they had some kind of guru who took the lead. It was years ago now. More recently on Hamish & Andy I saw some Asians strapping weights to their bollocks & lifting them up to strengthen the muscles so they could last longer. The things men do with their privates it's a wonder they don't drop off.
