by Mr. Falcon ina super-zealous elder once told me in a very grave tone, "you know, mr. falcon, when someone becomes an apostate and leaves god's organization, they usually do very well physically and materially.
" hence the reason he claims that they feel "vindicated".
now i do also remember hearing such statements in the past from other witnesses.

I walked out of an Elder's Meeting
by AlmightyDog inwell here goes... i apologize in advance if this turns into a long and disjointed rant, but i just have to begin typing in order to keep from exploding.
i realize that what im about to say could seriously jeopardize my anonymity, but i think ive reached the point that i just dont care.
i want this to be over.. let me explain what caused me to rip up a letter and get up and walk out in the middle of an elders meeting two weekends ago.. our boe has been embroiled in a nasty fight for the past 2 years over a certain brothers business dealings.

We went there for our honeymoon. It was quite nice. We went on a lot of excursions.
This was in the northern part of the island (can't remember the name right now).

by karter ini had one (elder) who loved to pick on the sisters who had an unbeliveing mate......he had short mans syndrome and got a kick out of it.. co, han hubler...anyone that knew him will know what i mean.. he was so disliked it was hard to get anyone to have him for a meal when he visited..

An elder I will always have a serious, personal dislike towards is a bastard by the name of David Bailey. He used to be a bethelite with a lot of influence here in england now he's a regular elder married to some broad in one of my old congs. Words can't describe how nasty this guy was to me when I was younger. I told three different elders, but because he was super popular and 'powerful', surprise surprise nothing was ever done. I was just accused of being a "sensitive punching bag".
I've seen people get punished for far less, but that's what happens when you're not in the clique. When you're one of the bunch, you can literally get away with murder.

Field Service question

i have not observed as many jws in field service as i did when i was growing up.
within the last 10 years i used to see spanish speaking witnesses in my former neighborhood.

What if your Significant Other wanted to become a JW?
by Dune intoday, i was ambushed by a pair of witnesses while leaving my apartment.
they offered me a magazine, to which i declined, but gave the latest awake & watchtower to my girlfriend.
at our next stop, i took the magazines, rolled them up and was about to toss them when she told me that she wanted to read them.

If I was in your shoes and she wanted to become a witness and actually started to go down that road, I would end the relationship, simple as that. She wouldn't have to worry about any "opposition" because we would already be done.
It takes a very long time to rid yourself of the JW mindset, I'm not about to do that only for my partner to then start studying with those cultish relationship/family breakers and then have to eventually share my bed with one of them. It's just not gonna happen. The S.O. has the free will to do what they wanna do, so I wouldn't get in the way of that. While she's strolling towards dub land I'll be packing my things and getting out of dodge.....
