LOL, the review was longer than the book. And more valuable too!

Does he say this crap just for ratings or does he really believe the puke that spews from his upper orifice?
That is the million dollar question. Most disturbing is there is such an avid and loyal audience for it. I mean, even if a conspiracy managed to form here and there, this guy's theories are simply unsupportable. He manages connect a WORLDWIDE web of Communists (traditionally anti-religious), Muslims, Government efforts to encourage healthy eating, Egypt, and I don't know what else because I just can't follow the guy.
As if all these factions could get along well enough to hatch some secret, intricate plot. And even if they did, as if he had the intelligence and skill to unearth it. I noticed that MSNBC has been calling him out quite a bit lately, and exposing his gibberish. They always did, but it seems to be getting more intense. I think he is having trouble with his sponsers too. We'll have to wait to see how he does in the near future.

Have you seen the layout of cubicles in most corporate offices? I used to have a cartoon taped to mine that showed a mouse trying to navigate the twisty-turny cubicles looking for cheese. There were times it just suffocated me. We had our department remodeled, and when they pulled down the particians, some workers were stunned that they were only a few inches from their co-worker's elbow. We were literally talking in each others' faces but had the illusion of privacy because of the maze, er, cubicle walls. There is something pathological in that, but I don't know how to phrase it!
I've said something similiar in a previous post, but let me apply it here. When your company passes out free books, there is absolutely no reason to believe it is for your welfare. If something good happens, because you applied a lesson from this book, that is wonderful. But remember, you got what you got because you did what they wanted you to do. That is not all bad, especially if you got something very good. But there is a dark side...

So I asked my female coworker what she was doing this weekend............
by miseryloveselders inbut her reply made me so very envious.
you know my mother always would tell me, "wordly people aren't really happy.
" as a kid that always bugged me because i figured if people are laughing, smiling, and generally having a good time, they must be happy.

LOL,
I sure hope no one rings your co-worker's doorbell at 9 am! She can only control the alarm clock. Are locusts and cockroaches in the same family? I'll have to look that up. LOL

I'm kind of afraid to give any recommendation, because this is a legal issue and I would not want to be wrong!
I believe that the most recently dated document is the legal one. The problem is making sure a health care provider has the most recent. Maybe you should talk about this with your doctor, or a social worker they recommend, or even a lawyer. I've thought about this a lot myself---I have a pretty serious illness so some people still have copies of my old medical directive. I'm really going to have to check this out myself.

I read it. Unfortunately, the cheese moved to China and Mexico, so now several starving mice are looking for new cheese.
Yeah, corporations will often pass this book out just before they reorganize things. It primes workers to go peacefully into that good night. Most of my opinion is based on reading these books and discussion with that author who made one, but here is an article that is probably a bit more thought out and articulate than I am on this subject.
If your boss gives you this book, it might be a good idea to freshen up the resume.

Did you do very early morning field service?
by truthseeker inin my old congregation, there was a group of dubs who started field service at 4am - yes, that's 4 o'clock in the morning.
i went with them on a few occasions.. to be ready, you'd have to be up at least 3:30am to get washed and dressed and maybe get a bite to eat.. at 4am, our designated driver would show up along with a couple of sleepy eyed jws trying to "get their time in.
" many times we'd go pick up a jw only to find they forgot about service and overslept.. .

Indeed I did. It was the only way to aux. pioneer and work full-time. Not as early as 4 am though, but close. We worked businesses, 24 hour places, bus stops were huge, people walking on the street---no human was safe. We also did late night service, I worked it almost every week. We'd mostly stop at late night businesses. I had many return visits with employees of stores and restaurants. I remember not finishing until 1:30 am, and then getting up for early morning.
If I was working on a high hour month, no one on my busride to work was safe either! If I did early morning, then caught a bus, I could continue my time if I kept witnessing. I hate people like me. LOL

I read it. I hated it. But let me tell you why.
As a writer, I get to meet a lot of other writers. I know one person that writes quite a bit under contract. Corporations will tell him exactly what they are looking for, and he will write the book. It is then used to indoctrinate employees with ideas and to encourage them to be a certain type of worker. On the surface, it seems wonderful and empowering. Underneath, it is an attempt for an employer to control thinking and attitude.
As for my fellow writer, he read some of his work aloud. Very "cheese" like. Simplistic, almost childlike. A lesson, a fable. I could barely stand it. It has already been translated into 12 languages. Clearly, I'm the minority. I worked for a corporation that had a lot of influence over the businesses in the mall connected to it's world headquarters. I would go to the bookstore on almost every break. Cheese was always conveniently situated at eye level visible on walking in. I do believe my corp. was responsible, at least in part, for such placement. I'm not into conspiracies, but marketing is not lost on me.
That is why I hate business fables. I know the writers of business fables aren't interested in helping you to be happier. They are simply selling a product. It is also why I hate the WT.
