Considering the history, it's kind of comical when christians call atheists fascists. Tender feelings get hurt, but in the interest of christianity, people get tortured and killed. When we speak up and tell the obvious, we are persecuting. Well I suppose christians have a great understanding of persecution. They are the pros. Stop trying to indoctrinate our children with pseudo-science. Stop trying to force people to pray when they don't want to. Stop trying to force your moral code on me and mine. On my way to Cleveland for the 2011 "Let God's Kingdom Come" District Convention!

i live in pittsburgh, pa. for as long as i can remember we've always had our conventions in cleveland.
i think the year i was born was when we started going there.

I've moved away from that area, but when I'm there with friends, I introduce them to country maid! BTW Noni and I have been going to a lot of free concerts in Akron and the Falls. Rockin on the River and Lock 3. It's been a blast. We might go see an ACDC tribute tomorrow. I THINK at rockin---not sure.

Is it ethical to make rich pay more taxes?
by Lore ini'm having trouble getting behind the idea of making rich people pay more taxes just because they have more.. aside from the obvious: "i'm not rich so lets tax them instead of me.
" the three reasons i hear most often are:.
1: they may have "earned" their wealth but they don't deserve it!.

My understanding is the federal government has constitutional authority to tax products and goods that are international or take place between states. I don't believe they have the authority to tax transactions within states. That power is given solely to each state. I don't think the federal government can impose a sales tax. They can impose a tax at the wholesale level on interstate commerce but only on that first level.

If you are in law enforcement then you pretty much see the bad. If your training has taught you to look at the world as evil, your experience will reinforce that view. What you need to remember is that law enforcement is not visiting the majority of the populaton. They are busy enjoying their lives and families and doing good things for others. It would be harsh to judge the whole on the very small and focused sample you have examined.

Noni was in a class with me when I learned she was DA'd (she actually warned me LOL) Then another woman in the class was raised as a JW but never got baptized. Her parents are still very much dubby. Then there was me, faded and just making the decision to never go back. We hung out. We were an unholy trinity!
