Do any of them ever get a "real" vacation anyway? It doesn't bother me when a prez takes vacation--republican or democrat. We are not served by robots in the White House----yet. We don't want any embarrassing break downs. LOL

Since then, I get the occasional know from sisters (perhaps once every 2 monthes), but no real concern and all the friends in the JWs I thought Id made dont bother with me at all.
Yeah, don't feel bad about this Pam. It's quite typical. For instance, I associated with them for 20 years, I was baptized, my best friends were all from the hall, we watched our kids grow up, we helped during the tough times, we celebrated all the graduations and weddings together. Then I started my fade. I heard nothing for nearly a year. Suddenly 3 sisters show up at my door and assure me they missed me SO much (yeah, I'm sure they were thinking of me) and then told me a list of people I knew that had died in the last few months--and they never felt the need to tell me earlier.
I'm okay that they didn't come by--I prefer it. I'm not okay that they acted like they missed me and cared so much for me. It's a cult. When you no longer run with them they forget you. And no matter how friendly, or how much love, or how many experiences you had with them, they become dust. There simply is no room left in their minds for diversity because they are running so fast on their treadmill.
You'd be letting her off the hook if you just told her. Otherwise she'll walk around with this nagging feeling that she should check on you.

I tried to watch it. It just made me cringe. The tiny comments from the audience I heard that the camera picked up made me cringe harder. Then I fell asleep. But I can guess the end!

Why do Jehovahs Witnesses send their mentally ill door to door?
by life is to short inthis has been a question i have asked over and over even when i was a very devout jw.
please do not get me wrong in thinking that i am trying to be mean or cruel or unkind to those who have mental illness, that is not in the least where i am going with this.
what i mean is i think it is cruel to send them door to door, it puts way to much stress on them and it looks bad for the name jehovah.. it seemed that in every hall i have ever been in there were some people who were extremely mentally ill. there have always been some in every hall who were schizophrenics or suffered major depression, or other forms of mental illness.

This is one of the reasons why I always hated service and if I did not make pre-arrangements with somebody, I would have somebody inflicted on me that nobody else would want.
This happened to me all the time. I hated it. I'm generally easy going and care a great deal for people that struggle. They took advantage of this. I never wanted to say anything, because I didn't want to hurt those that seemed to need understanding. But I saw what was happening. Drove me nuts.

she uses everything against me to brainwash me into believing i need the org.

It sounds like this bible study is a pretty destructive force in your life. Why do you continue it?
I was at an assembly some years ago when I had the mother of all panic attacks. It was brought on by some guilt trip from the platform. The sister I was with didn't know what to do so she took me to first aid. They had no idea what to do and sat me in a chair and just stared at me like I was crazy. It didn't help the situation, and made it worse. The sister that I rode with had to take me straight home, so she didn't get to do the after assembly dinner thing. Her resentment was very evident. More guilt, more crying. I actually have a picture of myself that day after the attack. My face is red and my eyes were swollen. My hair was a mess.
Don't let her pull that first aid crap on you. I think there was a time when it was manned by people with medical knowledge. Now because of lawsuits, they are simply an area with a sign. There is no help there. And trust me, if you get really sick and need to go home, that sister will resent you for years.
