Do I just have a dirty, filthy, perverted apostate mind...
by serenitynow! in...or does the picture on page 30 of the december 2011 awake look like the beginning of a certain act?
i mean that sword is at waist level, the shaft is long (:-d) and there is a little round dealy on the end.
the male in the submissive position has got his mouth open, the dominant male is looking like "oh yeah, get ready.

LOL Funny OP. Hey, even Ted Bundy has some good things. I heard he was smart, charming, and a successful lawyer. Shall I simply concentrate on the positive? Silly.

Is disfellowshipped Fiance considered "family"
by rrb2016 ini was born and raised a jw and left the "truth" as soon as i was 18 - but never baptized.
my mother and i have agreed to disagree and have a decent relationship (she is still jw).
whenever i see any people from her congregation they are nice to me and speak to me, and are aware i am not a witness.

So some gardner comes in and threatens your elderly mother while she is in the HOSPITAL for visiting with her son and his fiancee. What does your mother think of this? Has anything made it through? Poor woman.
If your fiancee really holds her tongue and gets that blank happy look on her face, she has a shot. I can understand why she wants to be reinatated only to fade---this is her child.
This is an evil organization.

You can be fined for holding Bible studies in your home in California
by Terry infaith california city fines couple for holding bible study in their homeposted on september 19, 2011 at 1:36am by madeleine morgensternphoto via flickr user erwin vogelaar.
a southern california couple has been fined $300 dollars for holding christian bible study sessions in their home, and could face another $500 for each additional gathering.. city officials in san juan capistrano, calif. say chuck and stephanie fromm are in violation of municipal code 9-3.301, which prohibits religious, fraternal or non-profit organizations in residential neighborhoods without a permit.
stephanie hosts a wednesday bible study that draws about 20 attendees, and chuck holds a sunday service that gets about 50.. the fromms appealed their citations but were denied and warned future sessions would carry heftier penalties.

City ordinances are always stepping on someone's toes.
In some cities:
You can't hand laundry to dry.
You can't grow vegetables in your front yard.
You can't have certain animals.
These people have not been denied the right to assemble. They are asked to abide by city codes--put in place for the comfort and property value of the neighbors. Most neighbors would not object to regular bible study in a home with around 10 regularly attending. How many were attending this? How often? These things grow! People are not bothered by superbowl parties and family dinners. Has anybody been fined for family dinners??? But zoning is zoning. These are formal meetings regularly held---and depending on the size---they can really bother the neighbors.
I think some have elevated zoning issues to religious oppession. They are not being oppressed. Perhaps they could rent a room in a church---it happens all the time. Should someone be able to run an AA meeting from their home? A Green Peace meeting? Are these groups suppressed? No.

I didn't make the comment about the sacred and BillO. Just found the reference to Christ funny. Jon Stewart is my messiah.

MSNBC is not premium for me---weird. Anyway, Obermann has moved to CURRENT Tv, and still does his countdown show. I think it is a project that he and Al Gore brought together. It is still new, so there is a lot of repeat programming, but as time goes on, it should become quite interesting.
When I listen to Jon Stewart in interviews, I am just so impressed with how smart and well spoken he is. He calls bullsh** right to their faces, and he's a comedian. It always makes me smile.
