when i was studying all i heard about was the un banning religions.

Huh! I was baptized in 91, and the UN stuff was HUGE at the time. I remember there was an article in a magazine (secular) that warned that the UN was setting up international churches all over the world. The dubs copied and recopied that article so many times, it was but a faded mess when I got my copy. So a brother called the UN to ask about it, and was told they had not printed the article but it came from a magazine that had a political/religious type spin. BUT THEY DIDN'T DENY IT!

It reminded me of an interview with a young man on NPR. He was from one of those tight Mormon spin-offs--maybe FLDS, and he might have also been one of those lost boys. ANYWAY
He talked about this attractiveness of young women in the cult. That something about their pureness worked as a turnon. He said that he'd look at a young woman in all those prairie clothes and he could metally undress her in 8.6 seconds. It was really funny how he said it, but the point is, hormones are hormones. Maybe an Amish man finds a bonnet with heart shaped puckers more sexually attractive than a pleated one.
The borg is absolutely NUTS if they think they can turn teens into A-sexuals. It hasn't worked in 150,000 years, and they haven't cracked the code.

recently i remembered another example which shows how hateful and unchrist-like the witnesses are brainwashed into being.. a long time ago, when i was a pioneer, i was hanging out with a group of long-time pioneers after the district convention, in the stadium hallway.
some had been pioneering for more than 10 years and therefore were considered to be spiritually mature.
a woman who appeared to be a sister was walking by; she paused and greeted us and said something like, "what a great program that was.
NewChapter, that's funny: "little bitches for Jehovah..." A new religion, the JB's... Jehovah's Bitches. ha ha Men can be appointed MS's and women can be appointed JB's.

there was quite a debate on another post about the increase/decrease throughout the wt history surrounding 1975 and subsequent time periods when ther have been major adjustments in doctrine.
it was said that the stasticis from 1965-1985 do not reflect a massive defection, despite the failure of the wt's prophecy for the end of the wicked system of things by 1975. .
i see the overlapping generation as another potention issue to cause fallout.
Well that's the thing about averages. Half will be under, half will be over. They just like to play the guilt game. If half the students get an F and the other half get an A, the average is a C. easy peasy.
As far as how many are in, but mentally out---that's hard for me to estimate. To be honest, when I got here I was SHOCKED how many lived like this. I was under the impression that it was only a few "weak" ones. I have faded.

i'll keep this brief for now.. long time lurker (4 years or so).. born-in, elder, used on district level (last talk i gave before i left was the baptisimal talk), and lots of hard time put in...before i finally made the move to split.
it's a long stoy, much like many of yours...but with it's own little interesting twists.
more details in the future, perhaps.. as i said, ive lurked here for a while.. its funny: for a long time i'd only come on late at night.

last night whilst i was relaxing 2 elders came to my door to tell me i am officially da'd because of my 'actions'.
they weren't specific but i have been to church and telling others about the wbt$ scandals.. i was told they thought i was rude for ignoring their letters and not attending my jc.. my reply: 'you were the rude ones for sending me hounding letters when i specifically asked you never to contact me!'.
i got a 'hurumph' from the lead eldub.. i don't remember the whole conversation but they were annoyed i kept referring to the wbt$ as 'just a big business' but i told them they were on my property uninvited so they'd have to listen to my opinion and i don't have to listen to theirs.
Punkinface! They have no power over you! And now they know that. LOL
i called the police and they brought the fire department and police to retrieve the post office package.
i found out that in the last month at least 2 other businesses got this type of package.
the white powder was in a plastic that was placed inside a pack of orbit gum.. the contents were taken and were then brought to the town postmaster.. wish me luck!.
I think I remember reading a poll that said Ohio had the most bowling allies. That and we consume the most Jello. Lemon jello looks pretty white before adding water. Could be.
Minimus, I am playing, but I don't take your concern lightly. I am still a little stunned that the authorities aren't taking it more seriously. Last time I remember this happening, they immediately started those exposed on some powerful antibiotics. Do they even tell you why it's not a priority?
