  OK time out kids. If you are anti war, anti bush, anti american or anti whatever, it doesn't matter what is uncovered in Iraq. You'll poo poo it and claim it's all bullshit and that you need more proof.

  But Simon I agree with you. My unloaded hangun can't kill anyone. So next time I fly I'm demanding they allow me to take it. Ummm, can I have your home phone number in case I don't explain it right???

  A newbie says hello

  hello, i've been a lurker for about a year now and finally decided to register and start posting.

  i don't have time to tell my story right now, but plan on doing so soon.

  i guess i'm putting it off as i'm not sure where to start without it being a book.

  Well it sounds like you reconnected with someone that's a great friend. Not always easy to find.

  I'd like to think I'd be very gracious but who really knows. There are jws I like and ex-jws I don't. The one thing most of my friends know about me is that we can disagree on almost anything and I don't take it personally. But for those that have gone out of their way to be unkind, well, that's more difficult for me to overlook.

  I would say that I'm willing to be friends with well over 90%, maybe 99% of all jws that I knew, if they still wanted to be friends with me. There are a handful that I'd never be friends with.

  JW loopholes for visiting DF'd relatives

  i've noticed in my own situation and others that even though we are df'd or da'd, that occasionally our holier than thou jehovah witness relatives will deem it "appropriate" to visit.

  this is after months or years of shunning in some cases.

  this christmas my non-jw cousin came to visit from houston and stayed with us a few days.

  Well Jerry it is weird how they reason these things. A friend of ours who we always associated with when she got DFed now visits us regularly even though I'm DAed. As soon as my DAing was announced she asked for a copy of the letter than she had heard about and then told me that her excuse for visiting was that we traded and sold horses together. They haven't forbidden business relationships, yet.

  Oh, different race. Sure why not? Marriage usually indicates love. It's difficult to control who you fall in love with anyway. Unless you're a raging bigot.

  Now if this thread was about a different species, ummm, well, a short affair with a goat wasn't as fufilling as one might think. I"ll stick with human.
