Isn't it curious how it's ok to dedicate your entire life to an organization many years before it's ok to date?

by minimus inthe majority of people who become jehovah's witnesses, really have no idea what they've gotten themselves into.
did you truly understand those baptismal vows that you made?

Hmmm, less sex? I wonder about that. We weren't talking about it so much back in my day.
We were just doing it.

I'm sure some take longer than others to get over the "headship" arrangement. I sure didn't. For me it was keeping my family intact. Now that I'm assured that my son won't allow them to take us apart I had no problem DAing myself.
Oh and they never visited me once, not a single time. The gossip was easy enough for them. But actually shepherd us? Are you kidding? That surprised me the most. The fact that they would let us go so easily. No public reproofs ever. No outbursts. We just stopped attending. Amazing.

True, you can leave after they kick you out. Just can't talk to anyone since dead men tell no tales. I wanted to just stop attending. Imagine my surprise when that wasn't approved of.

No I certainly didn't and I addressed that in my DA latter which is in my profile.
I never knew that they wouldn't let you leave.

by kat_newmas ini found this site a few days ago.
it has been the greatest therapy.
for the first time in twenty years, i have just been given the opprutunity to "let it all out" and answer to every issue i ever had with these folks.

People get obsessed? Don't worry, after a few thousand posts you'll start to slow down.

In the beginning-----sex.........
by Tatiana ini have some theories on what sex must have been like between adam & eve.
(assuming the story is true.
) i mean, it was just the two of them.....no alcohol, no videos, no lingerie, no candlelight.

I do appreciate animals thoughts.
I suspect they had animals around them in the garden. So why not just do what animals always do, bend her over, try to get it in the right hole and then afterwards lick yourself.

Bike seat is killing my butt
by wednesday ini just started a new exercise program, i'm riding a outdoor bike.
i haven't ridden one in years.
only the seat is hurting my butt.

Katie is right. Actually the softer the seat the more difficult it will be to toughen up that soft tissue. When my son and wife raced they acutally used a hard leather seat which formed to their bottoms over time. They swore by them.
Don't go with too much padding. A good saddle that correctly fits you is the key. Go to a good bike shop, not Sears and ask for a professionals help. I find that when I lay off it only takes me 3-5 days before my butt can handle several hours in the saddle. My seat has very little padding.
Now my saddle is on a mountain bike. My road bike is a recumbent which is about like riding a recliner down the road. Very comfortable. No sore butt time at all. Just sore quads from being out of shape but that goes away in a few days too.

Got My First Diesel. But...
by Englishman ini finally decided it was time to throw away my decrepit austin montego and get something for work that was a little less..well, tatty.. i need to carry ladders and tools and things.
however having had the experience of losing (stolen, actually) the tools from a van on 2 occasions, i know the value of having a car for work that has at least got a boot large enough to be able to hold my gear, without actually advertising the fact that, hey look, easy pickings!.
so, a car is what i needed.

You need a block heater during the winter months to effectivly start a diesel. If I forget to plug my bus in, it won't start for a very long time. If it's plugged in it started on the first crank.
A couple of gripes about diesel. First of all diesel fuel is cheap to manufacture. Takes very little cooking. It should sell for less than half of the cost of regular fuel. But it costs more.
Second is the letter I received fomr the Oregon Department of Education. It is a warning that the people most likely to contract cancer at pubic schools these days are first of all school bus drivers. Second? Children who ride school buses. The risks are very low, but......
We are no longer allowed to idle buses on school property. When we pull up we are to shut it down as soon as we can set the air brakes. We aren't to start our bus until the bus in front has started up and is beginning to move away. Interesting isn't it?
But all the things I've put in my body over the years and all the things I've put parts of my body in seem to suggest that I am immune to almost anything.

I feel horrible this evening
by Yerusalyim inas i sit here pulling charge of quarters at the soldier's barracks (that's overnight duty with the privates for the uninitiated) i feel horrible.
i've been sick all weekend carrying a low grade fever.
i just like complaining and playing off everyones sympathy.

Dottie gave you good advice, drink as much water as you possibly can.
But they are just privates dude. Have some fun. Empty out a full clip. See how their reflexes are. Stretch some seal a meal over the toliet seat in the head. At the very least drop a rock on someones bunk and yell gernade!!!!!
There are so many things to do to make you feel better. But I hope it gets over quick.
