LB - trust me! I've had my share of being blasted on this board. It has been awhile, but there will ALWAYS be someone out there that doesn't like me.

Hard to imagine. Maybe some people here don't realize how you so often take the time to send users an encouraging e-mail. Things that don't get noticed. It's good to see that you are strong enough to not let that slow you down.

Yesterday my cat fell off the barn roof into a 300 gallon barrel full of water. She ran up to the house and howled her pain. It was pretty funny.

even after a year of thought regarding religion, and inparticular the jw faith... i am still no further forward as to whether i should go for it.. i realise that practically everyone who reads this post will be anti-jw; but i appeal to your unbias/ neutral side... if thats possible.. both sides have their own point of view... both are very convincing; i am just not sure what will "clinch the deal".. all i know is that i cannot go on like this for much longer!.

soul-destroying is an understatement!.

Even your name suggests that you've already bought into it. Consider that no one has the truth.

If you can only see possible flaws then young man you are in trouble. You are going into this with your eyes wide shut I fear. Emotional blackmail, child molestors, ever changing doctrine, turning backs on loved ones, failed prophecies and here's the capper. They treat studies much differently than each other. Once you are baptized you'll find out about the "love" they really have for one another. Many times I was cautioned to be careful about what I say in front of someone, as they were just studying.

Truth doesn't change, ever. They do. All the time, to suit their own purposes.

You'll need that luck you don't believe in.

My kitty would tear me up if I put her even close to a toliet.

Ang I mainly read this to see if cat lovers would bust your butt. Recently we wondered who has never been attacked on this forum. The only two we came up with was you and Billygoat. Maybe a couple of others but you two are the most obvious.

But then again you married Simon so perhaps it's a sympathy thing????

You are considering joining a group that uses emotional blackmail to keep you in line? Just remember that if (or when) you mess up they will take away everyone in your life that you are close to. Before that they will discourge you from associating with family or friends that are not JW's. They will control you.

This a group that claims to be prophets yet has gotten every prophecy wrong. It is so obvious even to them that they had to change the definition of prophet to teacher. Yeah right.

You want to join a group that attracts child molestors and then protects them.

Good luck my friend (you don't believe in luck any longer) because you'll need it.
