Mental Disorders among JW's
by Blackfalcon98 inhi everyone, im begining to notice patterns of mental issues in the congregations and among the witnesses as a group.
do you think this is a trend in the entire world or is it exagerated in this organization?.

What Was Your "Status" Within The Organization?
by minimus inwere you a sought after associate?.
were you often invisible?.
did other witnesses view you as "exemplary"?.

minimus: i was a pioneer then disfellowshipped for not taking the neutrality stand. now a near-inactive witness.

by Crazyguy inobviously i'm having ex cult issues, family still in and a wife that's all kokoo for cocopuffs as well as our marriage isn't good.
i would like to leave her, she has never been the kind of wife i wanted.
anyway the stress is getting to be to much, thinking about things all the time and its effecting my work as well as otherthings.

hi craztguy
i am a bipolar
the medicine you take is usually prescibed in quantity of 1-3tablets.1 being the least and 3 the maximum. so the least you can take is 1 tablet. But if you skip the medicine ,the medicine will not work.
the next thing to aware is that after taking the medicine you have to make an effort to sleep well, because the medicine may disturb your sleep.
if you are taking the medicine during the day, then it could be prescribed morning afternoon and night.Note that at any one time when you feel nausea stop taking the medicine only to resume when you are feeling well again

Anyone Else Feeling Forced to Go to the Memorial?
by PaintedToeNail ini refuse to go to any meetings, assemblies, conventions, special talks or the like...however, i get coerced into going to the memorial every year.
because it keeps the peace at home with hubby and also makes my parents, who live elsewhere, have hope that i will come to my senses and become an active witness again.
there is no chance in hell of that happening, but it prevents the ties to my family from being severed.

Let me share my experience. My sister is inactive. I notified the elder that I invite my sister to the memorial. The elder's reply is that only the elder can do the invite. See the amount of control!

Do Jehovah witnesses exploit the most vulnerable in society?
by Blind_Of_Lies induring my final few years being active with the jws i noticed that the vast majority of people who were studying or joining the group in general where those that the rest of society would consider disabled and/or severely mentally ill. now by disabled i dont mean i lost my leg in nam kind of disabled... in some cases these people were mentally retarded, had the minds of children, were severely abused as children or even as adults and as a result had personality disorders that put them on the edge of society.... and then we had the full on crazies... about 15 years ago one of the brothers who worked at the local welfare office somehow started a study with a person who was a paranoid schizophrenic.
he met her because she was a client of the welfare office.
she got handed off to a sister who studied with her, then started driving her to her doctors appointments, and to get grocerys, and took her to congregation events.

I offer a twist to what is posted here. I am a mentally illed person. I appreciate the loving consideration of the 'brothers'. Finacially I am supported by my own sister. As long as I regularly take the medicine I do not post any problem to the congregation.

i am a regular pioneer in my cong reading crisis of conscience.here goes...
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.
i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.

Hi
Just a piont,I only put 1hr a month in the field service, and they do not pressure me.Could it be because I have a history of mental depression that they are leaving me alone?
