  i certainly do.. i have been debating with two jw's on another forum about the un issue.

  i have produced so much evidence that the un did have their citeria of support when the wt society became an ngo, all from the un itself.

  yet because the wt statements say that they didn't have that criteria and it was changed later the jw's refuse to believe anything else.. sometimes i think what's the point talking to these people.

  Kingdom Hall Interiors

  so i drove by my old kingdom hall the other day and noticed that it had a for sale sign in front of it.

  this came as no surprise to me, as i knew that they recently won approval to build a new kingdom hall in a neighboring town.

  (caused a bit of a stir in town - but that's a different story).

  Built in the 50's for probably less than $50,000....probably took out a "loan" from the Society to remodel....which has long been paid off since it was done in the 80's.....now they're going to sell it, easily half-million in profit.... which will belong to "mother" because they'll have to take out a loan on the new property again....to pay mother....again.

  By the way, that is the most joyless looking facility I have ever seen.

  Bench chairs and a tacky ass 'year text.' Standard issue for all Kingdom Halls. Well almost. I know of a KH in Maryland in the 80's that had wireless mics and theatre seating.

  i work for the phone company ... here are scams related to that, that people fall for a ton!!!.

  "you accept a collect call from someone who says it was a mistake reaching you, but it was their only call.

  you do that and they take your number and bill it to your account.

  By the way most recently have been getting INTERNATIONAL calls from numbers I don't recognize, I pick up because my daughter's in Japan and it could be her, only to hear some heavily accented Punjabi calling himself "Sean Taylor" <yeah right> asking me if I want information on "free government grants." The first time I was polite.

  Not anymore. That's all I'll say about that.

  I regularly review my phone bill, not a month goes by that we aren't billed 'third party' for some crap. The most recent one was for a company called "Agoura Hills Discount services" for $8.95 per month....I called them, and was very rude with them, as I don't give a shit about their 'feelings' and don't have the time to waste on their shit.....they told me I signed up for "discount email" I said, why the fuck would I pay for discount email when I have yahoo and gmail for free? DUHHhhhh

  I ripped them a new one, then got their physical address in San Jose California, any body live near there and wanna have some fun?

  yes, simon...hit me over the head.. but i can't help but wish she (prisca) would be back here.. i've spent time with her in-person; finally-free can attest to her sweetness.. on-line : well she's a formidable challenge sometimes; but a heart as big as herself.. i hope we'll allow her back here during the last days of this forum.. she has not asked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lltg3iwoqe8.
