  Good on ya, Ianao!

  since I moved last year, I never updated the congregation records or told anyone where I was living.

  In one whole year, they've only come by once. (I live in the heart of suburbia, you know--one of those streets where you leapfrog over another couple while doing house to house.)

  I have determined when they do come by, to sit down with them at my home computer and go directly to the WBTS home page, and confront them with all of the lies on it.

  We'll see.

  on april 2nd i purchased the domain name www.do-not-call.org .

  a few weeks later i posted a comment on the thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=3941&site=3.

  it was titled 'can you stop the preaching work?'.

  hello all, registered just to post this and see what you all had to say about this.

  i, for one, am in shock.

  it was anounced today on "extra" and they said we would soon see a change in his music because he was "marrying his music to his religion.

  Df'ing threat losing power?

  recently,i noticed that some teenagers and "weak" publishers.

  weren't actually shunning my step-daughter.

  i warned her to meet.

  That's a real trip ain't it? But yes, I was df'd when 4 mos pregnant (it took them a month to make up their pea-brained mind) and re-instated 4 weeks before my daughter was born. Do the math.

  I was told directly, that I would be used as an example to the other young ones in the cong.

  The rub is, I really was quite repentant at that time. If it happened now, I'd say like Alice on that old TV show, "Kiss my Grits."
  But due to the hard heartedness of the elder body that I met with, and their wanting to 'not have reproach brought on Jehovah's name,' I was df'd.

  Because I never showed until 6 1/2 mos pregnant, no one knew why. I was in the front row when the announcement was read, I took my medicine like a big girl. The collective gasp that went up was astonishing. After the meeting, people whom I had know all my life now looked through me rather than at me.

  The few who did come up and hug me and say things like 'hurry back' were spoken to by the elders.

  So, I appreciate what you're trying to say Slip. It's just that it doesn't help their case any if they've got an over zealous elder body.

  When I was df'd (for 4 whole months) I avoided people like you who continued to talk to me. The elders were keeping an eye and sent a message through my father that I needed to 'actively avoid such ones' in order to show true repentance.

  And this is the same guy who had a photo shoot with the word 'slave' drawn on his cheek to show his displeasure at the control his record label had?

  This guy refused to make music for years, saying he didn't want his creative juices stifled!

  He ain't seen nothing yet!

  Check this boy for syphilis; I hear you go crazy if you've got it.

  WT website-shunning-Where is it????

  i, along with many others here, saw on the wt official website, in the faqs section, their answer to the question "do jw's shun former memebers?"..

  we've posted many comments on their response on various threads, such as on qwerty's topic "wt-faq on shunning--" just yesterday.. this morning i went to that site to copy it, and it seems to be gone....unless i'm not awake yet.. is it gone or did i somehow miss it?.

  also....i did a 'search' on their official site, on the word "shunning" ... result was "no results" so i changed it to "disfellowshipping" and the article on "child custody" came back as the only reference.

  Hey all, 'bookmarking' it to 'Favorites' doesn't work! Print the document for later use.

  I learned the hard way. One time about a year ago, there was an extensive article about which of the 8 components of blood wwere acceptable. I had never seen such information.

  I asked my Dad about it, he said he never heard of it. I went back to the site about a week later and that shit was gone! Replaced by some one page general article.

  I could kick my ass. Of course, my father believes it was never there, and that I was on an 'apostate' website.
