  Will the tower play there power trip on me?

  since i have left the watchtower i have met a really great girl [ or as the tower might put it-worldly].

  the thing is i think i might be in a bit of a predicament because when i left the tower i decided on the option that i would just walk away and not send a letter of dissociation.and the local elder and his wife lives right next door to me.because of this i have still saw them and other of my tower associates and been able to speak to them and they have spoke to me.. but now i have a feeling that once i start to bring my girlfriend back to my place that my neighbour/elder will take more of an intrest in whats going on and it might lead them to dissfellowshipping me.although as far as im concerned my life is none of there buisness anymore.but im just wondering how long it will take for them to visit me and announce that they are going to df me.. anyone had any similar experiences or anything?.

  I seem to remember reading that all they need to disfellowship you is for you to spend a night with someone of the opposite sex in the same room/building. If it's important not to be DF'ed for you, don't take risks you don't have to.

  EVERYTHING depends on who you are. I knew a young man who spent MANY nights in the home of an older woman, she had 3 or 4 children.... He was spoken to by the elders on a number of occasions. Nothing ever happened to either of them. They got married about a year later and everyone was so 'happy' for them.

  If it is within their own community and they agree to it, I suppose that it is little more than arbitration. But if it steps outside those bounds, they won't get any consensus and are stuck with the "Law of the Land". The important thing is that Secular Law should never mix with Church Law

  It's not that hard to figure out.

  Women like her always seem to 'end up' with abusive men. She's co-dependent. Strangely enough, she must need the emotional manipulation the WTS provides.

  I have a close friend who is co-dependent and I stopped worrying about her. Whenever she says what she's going to be doing, I always respond, "Whatever makes you HAPPY." She may get it one day. Or not.

  this is an excerpt from an email i got from a friend.. what do you think is worse, muslim or pentacostal?????????

  did you see obama on one of those sunday talk shows when he slipped and said "they" are attacking my muslim faith???????

  me thinks me better stick to my european (england) southern roots.... did anybody else see this tv interview?

  I'm not sure what admitting Iraqis has to do with anything....they never did a damn thing to us. it's a miracle there's not more refugees.

  However, you are correct in what you state. ALL churches have ecclesiatical protection. That's the rub./

  The rulings of arbitration tribunals are binding in law, provided that both parties in the dispute agree to give it the power to rule on their case.

  Of course, it doesn't matter that the person has been a student of the religion for so long they effectively had NO CHOICE in the matter, as is the case with thousands of JWs disfellowshipped annually.

  In fact, the JWs mete out their OWN justice. That's why they never report pedophiles in the congregations unless there is a mandatory reporting law in that state. They will tell you it is a 'spiritual' sin. Not a criminal one.

  Mustang you're wrong on this one. It's a matter of time before we recognize the Muslims right to govern themselves. Just a matter of time.

  anyways, my husband and i talked and i said that i can't take the anxiety of going to the meetings anymore, so either i'm not going or i'm bringing and ipod or something... he's very supportive.

  he felt bad about pushing me to do it.

  Pls tell your friend I said, How racist. Yeah, the Europeans have never done a thing to hurt anyone. Why, they wouldn't harm a fly.

  This has been debunked a million times as not accurate. He was doing an interview, with Tim Russert I believe, and he was PARAPHRASING what others say when trying to debunk him.
