  JW Blood Ban Checklist: Can Anyone Help Here?

  i was thinking mainly of lee elder, but it seems that that a concise, user-friendly list of the permissible/prohibited blood fractions of current jw policy would be more than a mere convenience... it has life-saving potential!

  the mere fact that the watchtower does not see fit to clear the air and print a simple summary of the current blood fraction policy in a ``question from readers'' article or something.. their failure to do so thus far speaks volumes as to how little regard they have for the lives of their drones especially of the children who, in view of the stagnation of the organization, are the society's most promising -- and maybe only -- source of future growth.

  brooklyn seems to prefer distributing ``no blood'' cards to the flock and apparently has no interest in clarifying a matter they alone have obfuscated by their confusing and often contradictory rhetoric.

  You are correct, they do not want to clarify these issues until a witness has his/her back to the wall.

  Such a ‘cheat sheet” has been distributed to JWs, but notice the conditions under which it is distributed:

  1. Only when a JW is facing a serious medical or surgical situation
  2. On plain paper no WT letter head of any kind
  3. These cheat sheets are distributed by HLC members to JWs "in a need to know situation"
  4. The verbal explanation that goes along with the distribution of the sheet is "the top two layers (whole blood and its major fractions, white cells, red cells, platelets and plasma) are prohibited; all else is a conscience matter"

  Most JW don't even know what fractions they do and don't accept.

  They just parrot the wording they hear at the meetings.

  Do we have any updated info on the blood-card NONdistribution this year?

  Simon does not = WBTS. *HE* doesn't claim to speak for God. In all of the posts I've read of his, he's never once professed to be God's spokeman on earth. Therefore, he's not held to the same standard they (falsely) hold themselves to.

  Simon = owner of a public forum. He pays the bills, he sets the rules. So, no, he's not Big Brother and no, this isn't thought control. You and I are here as his guests.

  Deleting accounts of those who commit fraud and are in general just here to annoy the hell out of others is done at his discretion. Just chalk it up to him being an asshole, this is his chessboard and he can checkmate anybody at any damn time he pleases. [8>]

  -u.s.a. here paul was showing the corinthian christians the inconsistency of taking disputes between christians before secular tribunals.

  this occured in maryland state.

  Think about it. DA's are elected into office. Once in, they care most about situations which will make it appear that they are tough on crime.

  Which cases are those?

  The ones that get publicity.

  Get some publicity for your story and then contact the DA's office. Or, contact the DAs office, find out who is prosecuting the case and ask them what their plans are. They may plead it down...unless you tell them you will vocally and publicly disagree with them.

  Jehovahs witnesses 3rd world religion?

  hardly any new converts in western land , and lots of children leaving or not taking it seriously.. people in pourer countries need a hope , lack education , and maybe look up to people in western lands and their ideas.. so will bethel soon be in africa?

  You know what I think is a VERY telling sign?

  The fact that NONE of the inner circle 'converted' to JW-ism. That's right, all of the higher-ups have been brainwashed since childhood.

  Now if a business conducted themself in that manner, the business would implode and go under because *every group needs new blood every so often.* Otherwise it's just a religion of spiritual incest victims.

  notice the form of "alternative service" that he would've been required to do had he been drafted.

  not civilian, but as one who would work in a military hospital ... which would be aiding the war effort -- a breach of one's neutrality.. .

  Perhaps we can say this....Such and such is known about Muhammed based on such and such. But this, that, and the other is unknown because we are lacking this or that evidence. His appearance is unknown because, while art did exist at the time, in fact great works of art, no portraits were made of him, nor were any coins, statues, or other likenesses made. I think that has to do with Islamic law perhaps, though I am unsure. On the other hand perhaps Muhammed, Like Moses, and Jesus, is entirely non-historic, and simply an amalgamation of older mythos.
