I heard from a credible source that he has a bad stuttering problem ( or maybe Tourette's?) and these grotesque, over-exaggerated mannerisms are actually his way of controlling the disorder.

i've only told two people about this (one being john cedars) for fear of getting this guy into trouble, but it's very telling and will reaffirm your "ttatt faith!
a couple of weeks ago, i had to have an "ability to protect" assessment by a gentleman from a company that also investigates child protection policies etc.

Your story confirms something I heard from an elder back in 2010, except he described it as "eliminating exposure to liability" rather than preserving charitable status. Then again, I'm in the US & we don't have that charity hoopee-doo over here.
In either case, the "new arrangement" was made in response to the JW kiddie diddling problem and the lack of action from the bOrg.

Are baptisms under the age of 18 valid? Can one baptised/dedicated prior actually be dfed according to law?

i wonder if for all of those who were baptized prior to the age of 18, if the wt/elders could be forced on our insistence that our dedication/baptism as a minor was made without proper mental capacity and that it be declared invalid, henceforth having never been baptized then family,etc, would be free in wt's eyes to treat as any non-jw vs shunning as an ex-jw.

I Hate the Sound of the Word Jehovah
by cofty inlistening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.
every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.
it stands for so much that i have contempt for.
