i don't recall jesus ever saying the word "jehovah".
some of us better do some research where that name originates from...
there is alot more to the story than psalms 83:18 would lead you to believe.
sooo.
is it jehovah we pray to or our father.
after all this time and they seem unsure.

one of the big environmental/jobs controversies is the keystone pipeline which would bring oil and natural gas from canada and the tar sands to the us and the refiners near the gulf.. www.htlp://news.yahoo.com/protesters-circle-white-house-oil-pipeline-row-00062747.html.
how do you feel about this project.
have any here been to the tar sands sites.
we have an provincial election on monday in alberta.
this time they are using radio ads, automated telephone calls and other propaganda to tell the alberta public that the keystone pipeline is ESSENTIAL to alberta's future, and to vote for the party that supports it, or it will cost THOUSANDS OF JOBS lost!
alberta's doing fine right now. and there is no keystone pipeline.
facts verses fiction.
the most embarrassing book in the bible - understanding the book of revelation.
in a short 36 minute video, andrew corbett discusses an alternative view of the bible book of revelation.
his position is interesting as it attempts to place much of the subject matter of the book in a first century context with rome as the seven-headed wild beast and jerusalem as the great harlot.
i look at the book with hope for the human race, as at the end EVERYTHING works out and EVERYONE is finally happy and well.
and that is what is SUPPOSED to happen.
the bad gets what is coming for them and the good get their reward. JUSTICE.
i don't see a problem with that.
so since that stuff hasn't happened yet, maybe revelation hasn't happened yet.
i recall going to the second half of a thursday night meeting after what was meant to be a cheeky after work beer (three strong beers downed quickly on an empty stomach).
i would have been ok had a caring elder not decided to grab me for some encouragement afterwards.. i hoped the faint odor of smoke on my clothes (smoking in pubs was still the done thing in those days) wouldn't be noticed but hard to hide alcohol on the breath.
i tried to say very little and talk in a way that avoided me beathing over him.
when i was 15, i took some pills and opened them up, emptied out all the medicen and repacked them with marijuana. this made it odorless and transportable. i tried this for a few meetings. way to complicated looking back on it, but we were paranoid about getting caught so we went the extra mile to be sneaky.
i think now if i went high, i would start yelling at the speaker everytime bullshit came out of his mouth.
knew of an aussie that came to canada and would tempt a freind to drink before the meeting "just to take the edge off the meeting".
law school admits an admitted illegal and when he graduates the fl bar thinks he should just go away quietly?
it's absurd to let illegal immigrant children enroll in first grade and then years later after they graduate from high school or college expect them to return to their foreign place of birth as adults.. "the florida board of bar examiners, which grants membership to the bar, has asked the state supreme court to determine whether it can accept someone who is not in the country legally.
the supreme court flagged the case as "high profile" last week.. "no one who has shown this guy's level of contempt for american law should be practicing law," said william gheen, president of americans for legal immigration, a political action committee that opposes amnesty for undocumented immigrants.. tom fitton, president of the conservative watchdog group judicial watch, agreed.. "he can't practice as a lawyer," fitton said.
i hope newchaper says something else smart too.

i think band on the run just lost some credibility.
60% of americans in one servey think the government did it.....even though there is no sold evidence.
let me spell it out.....a huge airplane full of fuel hit the building plowing thru the steel supports, thousands of witnesses, and video fotage, it almost flew through the building with debris blowing out the other side.
although it appears in the footage there is alot of smoke but no fire, right?
we have some individuals here that try to steer everyone elses opinions to be how they want.
it's called group thinking. someone states something is such a way that you feel foolish for not agreeing with them, even if it doesn't agree with what you really believe.
don't let peer pressure lead you to your decision on what happened on 9-11.
examine all available facts and fiction and get a well rounded view of the issue and then choose what is logical to believe.
don't believe what someone else tells you to be true. especially if they are in "CHARGE", or "OFFICIAL". do some research. get smarter. don't cheat off someone elses answers. they might be wrong. didn't our grade school teachers teach us this long ago?
it's also good to step back and think about WHY someone would post something like that in the first place with no link.
the OP is now the King of the Idiots.
see www.jwnews.net, steven unthank's private blog site where he posted the following material.
i enlarged and put in bold the third paragraph of the wt's letter where the elder, an ex-bethelite, made some fascinating errors while reading the letter by using the words, "borg" and "perp.
" does this mean what i think it means?
i hear borg. and he is the one who whistles into the mike, after he realizes he's actually said it.
in fact i hear "b - borg".
he makes the "b" sound twice.
what else could he have been trying to say that starts with b and makes sense?
there may not be any specific plan to end the "preaching work" but that doesn't mean that things can't evolve into such an outcome.
indeed, i now wonder if such a thing is probable!.
first, if (and it's a very big if) various nations develop case law that includes liability for volunteers, this will put the watchtower in a bind.
so is the message in the preaching work ever going to change? wasn't that a prophesy?
i remember an elder commenting on how jdubs don't like preaching even though its all about the paradise hope.
then he said these ones really wont like it when the message changes and the door of the ark closed and we start preaching judgement because now it is too late for worldlies, no more paradise stories.
when was the last time you heard this type of talk?
are they phasing out the "message changing" prophesy?
i've published part one of a three part series about the menlo park kh scandal.
http://ex-jw.com/menlo-park-elder-tells-all-1.
this has been a tough one for me.. the original federal case was dismissed in january.
Why does the Society keep winning in court?
they have all the donations in the world to buy the court cases.
