beautiful fall day here inspired me to a kitchen task i don't do very often.
scratch beef stock.
yep.
Glander, I'm in south Texas. 64 up north is washing your car weather. LOL I've been here over a decade and I've gotten a bit used to it. I'm told it's supposed to be 40 tomorrow night!!
Choosing a different place as "home" just makes you appreciate things you don't think about a little more. :)

I remember being all haughty and stuck up because I knew the TRUTH. They were gonna die! So /kick and /ban and move on with my day. lol!!!!

It's a crisp 64 tonight in the southwestern US. Something I greatly enjoy because I miss it. (I grew up in New England.) Fall is my favorite season and all of this talk about comfort foods, bone broths, and the like just has me smiling and inspired!!! I love it!

2 of them were pretty regular at harrassing us and creating other rooms with near-identical names to ours. They were ChrisA (I think his last name was Arndt) and Mark Cunningham (can't remember his username). At the time, I thought they were a couple of arrogant jerks, but now it amuses me.
Does anyone else remember them? Or remember IRC? This was mid-90s.

u.s. marshals searching for accused child molester in eugene-areaeugene, ore. (kmtr) u.s. marshals are putting out a public plea in an effort to track down a wanted man believed to be in the eugene area, accused of molesting dozens of children in california.u.s.
marshals from san diego are looking for 57 year old frederick cecil mclean, a suspect on the agencys top 15 most wanted list.. in 2005, mclean was charged with four counts of child molestation and one count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. the u.s. marshals office says mclean sexual assaulted dozens children between the age of 7 and 12 over the course of about 20 years.. however, marshals say the search for mclean has since gone to cold case status.
Just shared this on my fb. I have a ton of friends in the area.
may you all have peace!.
i received the following via email from a family member just a moment or so ago (bold is mine, fyi).
again, peace to you all!.
Very glad there will be a remembrance service for him.
I didn't know Eric. I don't follow JWN very religiously (if you'll pardon that lol). But my husband does, and another family member does. I know Oompa made quite an impact on the lives of those he touched. I hope this is a beautiful event that can show Eric the respect and honor he deserves.

so tonight after the meeting, this brother whome i've grown up with invited me to eat.
he had come almost an hour late to the meeting and looked kind of down and a bit depressed.
i agreed to go eat.. there was very little talking at first.
How awesome!!!
i haven't posted here in a while, but i thought this was worth mentioning, and i just wanted to vent about it.. my brother and sister-in-law, who are now divorced, bought my niece a clarinet about a year ago, so she could play in the band at school.
she loves it more than anything in the world.
one day last week, her grandmother found out about this and got all upset about it.
How cruel. That poor kid just wants to play an instrument, and that's a hell of an accomplishment. I wish I could play an instrument, or sing, or SOMETHING. Grandma has NO BUSINESS criticizing the decision those parents made.
My mother tries to tell me that, since my brother doesn't take his daughter to the KH or teach her about jar-hoover, that it's HER responsibility. And, at one point, she actually asked me to back her up on that. We were early in our fade at the time and all I could manage was, "Well, it's their decision as her parents..."
I really despise the borg for this kind of bullshit.
