Will silentlambs Be DF???
by silentlambs inwell now we have it, what appears to be the pre-emptive strike from wt.. as of this friday three families who appeared on the dateline program have been informed judicial committees have been setup with a one week notice and it is alleged that they have been causing "divisions" within the organization.
i got my letter today, barbara anderson got hers yesterday and the other family earlier this week.. if you were a pr firm would you think it to be a good idea or a bad idea to df everyone a couple of weeks before the dateline program airs?
what do you think the american public will think of such a move?.

"Streetwork" in Rancho Cucamonga
by r51785 inthere they were... three members of jehovah's one true holy earthly organization standing at a deserted corner of the shopping center at the corner of fourth and vineyard.
fifty feet away was a busy entrance to a ralph's supermarket, but they chose to stand in front of empty store fronts.
they were busy in conversation -- with each other.

How much longer?
by JeffT ini had this thought while reading the co visit thread, and decided to make it a separate topic.. how much longer can they keep beating the slaves before there is a rebellion?
it is obvious that the trickle of people that are leaving is growing, and growing enough to make them worried.
at some point it may become a flood.

Me and my brother.
by nicolaou inan earlier discussion has been highlighting the differences between da'ing and df'ing.
xena said:i am sorry qadreena but i have never in the 20 some odd years i have been a jw ever heard of an unbaptised publisher being d/aed...marked as bad association yes..but d/a...no...but i guess stranger things can happen.... well that brought it all back.. actually xena the exact same thing happened to my brother in the early 80's.
he was only 14. he'd carried on associating with a friend of his who'd been disfellowshipped.

The Bristol assembly hall scandel
by sleepy inis there anyone from the area who remmbers the story of the 30,000 spent on trees for the vist of a gb memmber.. i dont know the exact story as it is now about 7 or 8 years ago but i heard it from several people that worked on the hall.. apparently a gb memmber was to come to britian to dedicate the hall (i cant remmember which one).. the brothers in charge wanted the hall to look nice for his vist.but the land around was yet to be landscaped.. so brothers enquired as to the viability of planting some trees but were informed that it was the wrong time of year and they would die.. the cost of the trees was around the region of 30,000.plus the amount of free labour from the brothers in planting them.. anyway the big bosses of the scheme decided to ignore the professional advice and planted them anyway.. they all died.. 30.000 pounds of money from old ladies, pioneers and little children as well as ordinary publishers went down the drain for the gb's visit.. nice to know they used our money wisely.
