  Adventures at the District Convention

  well, after a 15 month absence from the kingdom hall, i once again found myself in the biggest kingdom hall of all the district convention.

  as in previous years, the material presented was dull and repetitious, so once again, i was forced to provide my own entertainment.

  so, like last year, i am pleased to present a further installment to my assembly adventures, called:

  my eldest just returned from italy, and i guess it was hot as blazes there, 105 on a daily basis.ouch!

  saw all the sights, etc.

  tourist stuff is expensive as hell, there!

  Rain, Rain Go Away!

  i live on the east coast in pa. it has been raining off and on for about ??

  8 weeks.

  my brain is water logged and i need sun!!

  Well I can certainly appreciate your water logged brain. My feet are sick and tired of slipping and sliding in my backyard. So far this summer or lack of warmth stinks!!!!!! I can't even watch the weather channel, because all I do is swear like a trooper at the TV!!!!! Nice to know that I am not the only one irritated like heck at the lack of sun!!!

  We did it -- we're married now!!

  june 20th marked a new beginning for me and yourschelbie.. we had a justice-of-the-peace wedding, with just a few family and friends on hand.

  the judge did a marvelous job of capturing the essence of the meaning of marriage in just a few minutes.

  (and we weren't reminded that serving a publishing company should be the #1 priority in life, lol.).

  Finally! Some good news in my life!

  i've been having a rough go financially lately and my job is less than rewarding.

  my hours have slowly been cut back over the last few months to the point where i've had to decide between food and bills.

  however, my sister's friend brought me a job ad.

  i just thought i would post a little about myself here, even though some of you might know me from the "beyond jehovah's witnesses" forum.

  my name is bradley and i live in a suburb of chicago illinois.

  i'm currently twenty six years old and left the jws about nine months ago after a year and a half of intense doubts, many hundreds of hours of research, cognitive dissonance and bouts of vomitting (stressful, eh?).

  Disfellowshipping

  i have read many stories here about those who have been disfellowshiped.

  they express the pain of the experience, and the emotional trauma they experience.

  Personally I expected for myself exactly what I have received. What I didn't expect and find abhorent is they also DF'd in a sense, my very young children. My family nor anyone in the so called "truth" felt the need to include my children in anything. Isn't it interesting that they feel that they are the ones that have the only way to GOD, and yet they turn their back on children of DF'd parents. Hmmmmm must be the "Christian Love" we all heard over and over and now have experienced.
