every where you live, the local area has something about it that is either famous for something good or something bad.
as an example, you go to one town and it may have the historial site of a famous war battle.
you go to another an it might be the place something was invented, or the birthplace of someone famous.
Jamestown NY = Population 35,000
Lucy Ball
10,000 maniacs
Roger Tory Peterson
Justice Robert Jackson - Nuremburg trials
i don't know where to begin to say what is all bottled up inside me.
i may need to be on another forum, but i have come to respect the posts and input of so many here, and trust.....so it may be jumbled, and may take starting a few topics to fully get it out.. i have already posted about my youngest brother committing suicide.
i have another brother also.. my mother divorced my father i am guessing when i was five or six.
hmmmm are you really sure she even knows the truth??? You are talking alot of years ago, way before paternity testing. If indeed your step-father adopted him wouldn't he have known the truth. Remember you can not leagally adopt anyone unless both biological parents sign their rights away. Did your father sign his rights to your step-father? If he did he would have also signed about your brother. I would suggest you siblings take a DNA test to see if you are all from the same parents. Call planned parenthood, and find our where you could do a DNA test. Not sure of the cost, but at least you would find out some answers.
I am sorry this has happaned to your family. Your mother is very heartless to say this, and not give your brother any information.

does anyone watch this show?
i was so disappointed that jeffrey won!
uli should have won.
Well I guess you are right. If Michael already has a contract he will make lots more money then 100 grand. I think you are correct that Uli was the clear winner. I liked Laura's, but I think sometimes they kinda look old. I have to say that Laura is the best seamstress. Her work is high quality.

I really thought that through the series that Michael was the best. I think he just freaked out for the last show. I can't stand Jeffrey, and don't think he should have won.

Good news let's hope that this is just the beginning of winning more law suits against them.

<!-- .style1 { font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: #b450ab; } .style2 { font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; } --> the watchtower societya woman's perspective often times, i wondered how the sisters viewed the organization.. there will be two or three inquiries regarding this discussion so.
any information regarding it would be appreciated.. the way the sisters dressed according to the way the society viewed women what did you.
think about there standards regarding the dress code?.
The way women are treated by this cult is the reason I walked out. I was married to an elder, and had three daughters. I realized when my oldest daughter was 12 he was already telling her who would be a good catch from our local area. Of course, that would only be other elder's sons. I told him right then that these girls were going to college. Gee you would think I told him that they were stripping. So I walked out with my girls and have never looked back. Lost all my family and friends, but my girls are in college with many aspirations in life. THANK GOD!!! No man is going to tell them what they can, and can not do. They will decide for themselves, just like their mom.

hi guys,.
sorry to burden you all with this but i really have no one that i want to talk about this with, i'm afraid that i will burst into tears and wont be able to stop if i call any of my friends and tell them what's going on.
my little sister has been ill with a fever for three weeks, her doctor kept telling her it was just a bad case of the flu and that she had an ear infection, he gave her antibiotics and sent her home.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us informed about her condition. At least, right now she is getting the help that she needs. We are all concerned for her.

this has been on my chest for a while and i would like to talk about it for a bit.
i've been reading this essay: "the successor problem" and it's sparked this thought that has been reoccurring to me for years.. .
i personally think that he should not.
I have to agree with the time frame that has been brought up. Russell began in the late 1800's not 1920's. For many religions what gives them some validity is the age of the founder. When you begin a religion in the 1900's it is a new religion. As was brought out it would be a problem with the 1914 reign of Christ.

i remember going to each memorial even when i was inactive.
i felt that i had to go to atleast that meeting.. then one year, i was sick on that day, and didn't go to the memorial.
it was a funny feeling to miss the most important day of the year, as a jw would call it.. but i got used to it, when i missed my 2nd and 3rd memorial..
Personally, I felt if there was by chance a hell I was going to it. Took me years not to feel guilt. When you been raised in this mind controlling cult.... it took years for your brain to be brainwashed.....so it takes years for you to wash your brain clean.
