  the three grand-munchins have spent the last couple of hours opening and admiring presents.

  wifey did all the shopping [mostly] and she did a fine job of it.

  joyful moments as they found surprises in each wrap.

  I have a big meal on Christmas Day since my brother who is the only non-JW in my family comes over with his family.

  Ham, mashed potatos, salad, fruit salad, homemade applesauce, green beans, homemade buns, lasagna (for some of my family that are vegetarians) meatballs, Christmas cookies, and pistachio pudding with strawberries (green and red) and of course wine for the toast.

  I lost my parents today cause of the Dubs...Uggggh!!

  everything has been going well for me for awhile until tonight.

  mom calls and announces she can no longer talk with me.

  i'm sad because i don't get to see mom and dad or my little neice that's sierra's age.

  Since leaving I am a much nicer person. I believe now that as long as you are not hurting anyone live anyway you like. I have had enough judgment and condemnation to last a lifetime.

  also, how are the kids handleing the holiday thing....for real....and do you really feel that is what you believe in, it just worries me......i havent said anything cuz its your choice, it is just that i wish you would come back.....move to omaha, and get into a diff congre, they would embrace you, they really would, .........heck, they embraced me after all the crap i did and fell and got back up.......i do see the good in you........ .

  i've cried when i find out that this religion is bull shit and are false prophets.

  i'm a pioneer still and supposed to meet up in service with this brotha tomorr but i'm not going.

  Like a Distant, Abusive Parent

  i think the saddest aspect of being a jehovah's witness in 2006 concerns the increasingly distant relationship that the watchtower.

  hierarchy have developed - and how witnesses react to it.. have you ever known a parent who had little or no love for their children?

  and how the children sometimes seem all the more drawn to.

  When you work with abused children, that is what you see. They cling to the abuser for anykind of affection, or acceptance. They are also controlled by the abuser by using power over them. That is what all cults use to keep people obedient..power and control, and fear. The more the abuser takes from its victim, the more the victim clings to the abuser. That is what you describe when you talk about the JW organization.

  Many religions use the name Jehovah. JW's have brainwashed us all to believe they are the only ones. The Salvation Army uses it all the time.

  My husband is back in the hospital

  so tomorrow, they will be doing a colonoscopy.
